***wonderful wednesday daily thread***

Blingbabe

Back On Track!
Good morning dear daily threaders

Hope everyone has a successful day.

I am working in the morning and then seeing a play in the afternoon.
Afterwards I am visiting two cats (and their owners). I will be looking after these lovely moggies Max and Trevor whilst their mum and dad are on a ski-ing trip from Saturday onwards.

Best wishes to all:kitty: x

Morning!
I am helping out at my sons school most of today AND have to be around a kids party in the afternoon, typical....food food everywhere and not a bite to eat, lol
Have a great day!

Oooh blingbabe your a part time kitty sitter :D How old are they?

Ive got a 16wk old jack russell and she is a little terror most days altho last night all she wanted to do was sleep. I was knelt over the bath trying to wash the dye out of my hair and there she was trying to sleep on the back of my legs.... She was exhausted. God knows why, she only went for a ten minute walk. I suppose they are like babies really, they need naps and she didnt get any yesterday as OH was off.

Anyway bit of a tangent there lol.
Today is day 1 of my ss 100% and so far so good, im not liking the scales this morning as they still say the same as last Wednesday (WI) but thats not bad considering how naughty i have been since Friday night.
Today is a new start and i plan to get to goal asap :D

I worked it out that if i lose about 3lbs a week i can be at goal in 3 and a half months    Now that would be just in time for summer although we all know that weight loss slows down but even 2lbs a week is do-able surely?! Thats what i was losing on average (whilst being naughty).

Either way im going to do my best and this is my last shot at it so fingers crossed apart from Valentines im not going to cheat :D

Hayley... wheres your gorgeous avatar gone?

I love kitty cats. I have fourrrr!

Also, Roxy (Hayleys pup) has made me decide I'm going to get a Jack Russell or a Westie when my daughter starts primary school (3 years). And I can't wait!!!! It's like I'm a kids whose told they can drive in 3 years lol.

Well today...

I'm not well at all.

I suffer from arthritis and Uveitis. My arthritis hasn't given me any trouble for about 10 years except the odd joint pain. I take a drug called infliximab for my eyes, which destroys my immune system. But today, I woke up and I couldn't move. My knee's are like balloons! I'm in so much pain I actually cried.

I still can't move very well and I know this is going to annoy my 16mth old because I wont be able to run around after her today.

I've also had to phone the nursery and tell them I can't bring Mikey in.

I feel like a failure.

aww numnums, your not a failure hun, you have an illness that would floor most people and yet you keep on going, your not well today hun so take it easy, a day of being slower paced will not do the children any harm, snuggles on the sofa with mum and a book can be just as much fun

well todays weigh in day for me so ill hang off on the shakes till after ive been
just having a bit of water and then i can sort out all madams bedding from lasr night that needs washing

Your doing so well hunni, your illness would have made me quit a long time ago. But im not strong like you, you make me feel like i should be doing 100% all day every day as the only thing i suffer with is laziness and thats no condition :D
Your a star hun and an inspiration.

My avatar has retired, it has seen better days. Its an old from two years ago. Time for a new one when i sort one out x

Hi Nums -- I am sorry you've had such a poor start to your day. How can you feel like a failure... the fact that you up and out of bed and coping with your little one is amazing. Well done. And, you know what -- quality mommy time curled up on the couch watching Dora can be better than a nursery school full of germs and ankle biters! Just hae a cuddle.

I love our Yorkie (officially our daughter's dog) -- and am looking for a Westie puppy for me! Our Yorkie will be spayed on the 20th -- so the idea of breeding her and keeping puppy is past. But, getting a puppy might be okay. Although, I doubt my husband will be on board. He is probably right -- we have enough to handle with one dog.

Morning All,

Bling - enjoy your cat sitting :) I love kitty cats, and have spent many years trying to persuade DHB to let me have one, with a firm 'no' :( So I make do with my goldfish instead LMAO!!! (Funny, but true!)

NumNums - :hug99: I really hope that you start feeling better soon hun. It sounds horrible what you go through each day, and to stick to CD on top really is a very big achievement. When I'm ill, I find that I struggle so much with CD, so good on you girl for sticking it out :D Please don't feel like a failure, you have done bloody brilliantly and should be very proud of yourself ;)

Summayah - Hope little one is doing well atm. Best of luck for your WI today hun :)

Minniemel - I have noticed you around on the forum, but not had time to catch up with you properly - how are you doing sweet? I hope those lbs are vanishing for you ;)

Hayley - How is your restart going? I see you say this is your 'last try' - I hope you are finding it ok atm and can reach the goal that you have set yourself. I am sure that you will, 3lb a week is definately possible. Even on weeks where you loose less, it usually catches up the following week with a larger loss (this has been the case for me anyway!) Come on girl! You can do it :girlpower:

Well, I turned into a little CD Bunny last night. Can you believe at 9.00pm I suddenly got up and decided I need to eat something. So there I was looking in the cupboards, tossing asside all sorts (refusing to have it if the truth be known because I knew I was being BAD) :sigh: Then just as I had the freezer open trying to decide whether to have a CD bar or not (I had already had 2 shakes and a bar) my DHB came in...bang went the freezer door

"what are you upto Godders?" he asked me (my nickname that he has called me for years - it's a nickname to my maiden name!) I knew I couldn't pretend "I'm looking for something to have but there is nothing I can have" I told him. He grabbed my shoulders, turned me around and marched me out of the kitchen...bringing me a fennel and nettle tea and a bowl of curly lettuce leaves!!!

Do you know I sat there, chomping on these bloody lettuce leaves and enjoyed them immensly...how very bloody odd :8855:Of all the naughty foods I crave while on CD and I sit a thoroughly enjoy a bowl of lettuce, and lets face it, it's hardly filling is it? But it kept me quiet and my mouth moving :giggle::ashamed0005::eat: Plus, as DHB pointed out lettuce leaves don't have as many calories as an extra shake or bar...;)

Anyway, this morning I am breezy and so pleased that I didn't cave, and had the support of my HB. It was fab to wake up without doing any self loathing, which became a terrible routinely habbit not so long ago.

I'm in ketosis, I'm loosing the lbs again and feeling pretty damn good about it, so I am very happy that I am still on track when I could have potentially 'blown it' just for the sake of an evening nosh. I wasn't hungry, clearly.

:cross: Here's to a little extra water today for me and more shedding of lbs :D

Hugs x x x

OMG - your story is hillarious!!!

You have wonderful oh that supports you.
These little things make such a huge difference!!!

Your story made my day - thank you for sharing x

Ooooo, I'm day off again today. FABULOUS! Means I can have a hot bath and to bed early. Hopefully my knees will be better tomorrow to get the wee one to school.

I can't wait for when I move. I walk half a mile to his school in the morning and then half a mile back. When I move it'll be 250 feet lol.

Glad it made you giggle hun :) I have a habbit of letting my SOH slip in ;)

Good morning all

Sorry to hear that you are unwell today NumNums - as Minniemel says, it can be a nice 'at home' day for your little one. I can still remember how much I liked doing a half-day at nursery and then spending a few hours with my mother before we collected my older sister from primary.
Beats the responsibilities we now have in the adult world, ha ha!

The cats are about 12 (Max) and 10 (Trevor). They look alike but are not related. Max was a diabetic, possibly brought on by being overweight but diabetes has reversed itself since he went on weight reducing diet. So, health and weight management is as important for good quality of life across all the species!

Looking forward to Waiting For Godot this afternoon.

Catch up later x

Awww! My eldest cat is Fifi, she's just about to turn 2. My other 3 are her babies. I thought it was 2 boys and 1 girl... turns out... the girl is a boy too! So her first litter was all boys, second was all girls!

Sweep, Puddy and Sooty are gorgeous.

I wouldn't swap my cats for anything lol.

Morning ladies, just about!

BB have fun looking after cats. I miss my cat, he's living with my parents as I'm not allowed him in this house and I didn't want to move him and then have to move him again in 9 months. After being with my parents cat for just over a year now, 18 months by the time I've finished uni, I'm not sure how he'll cope with being seperated from him. They both run around and play together, curl up and sleep together, they're like the best of friends! I might have to leave him with my parents, or steal my parents cat too!

Becca sorry to hear that you're in pain today, my Dad has arthritis in his neck and shoulders, so I've seen the pain he goes through, I hope it clears up again for you real soon. Hope you've left those cream cakes alone missy!!

Good luck with your WI today Claire, let us know how it goes!

MM, did you head out to the gym today? If you did you've done better than me! I've been saying for about a week and a half that I need to get my butt to the gym, but I just have no energy for it. Saw the doctor this morning and he's prescribed me sleeping tablets and referred me to a specialist, so hopefully I'll be sleeping better and generally feeling better with the help of the specialist, and I can get back to the gym too!

Hayley hope you're having a good day!

Emma, glad that your hubby is so supportive and helps keep you on track. I was saying to someone else the other day, it's amazing how our taste buds change on CD and we begin to actually enjoy lettuce and things like that! I now love courgettes too, I used to hate them!

I've been meaning to go shopping for the past few days, and keep not getting round to it. It's so cold, and the supermarket is quite far from here. I've got a bit of a cold at the moment so seem to try and be avoiding the outside weather! Have realised that I've got a voucher for free delivery from Tesco because they messed up my order a little while ago, so I might just do a Tesco order, then I can get some big bottles of water delivered too.

Morning all :) Been to the PO this morning to pick up parcels from my mum - a marigold Boullion tub - which I put in with the chicken & mushroom soup to make it tasty, a screen suck with a tummy you use to wipe your computer screen, a size 20 skirt from Next - still a bit small but I will be into it by next month and a new case for my iphone!
Sigh - now that everything has arrived, I shall have to order more things to keep the packages coming. I like to get packages!

I am having an SS+ week so had mussels and artichoke hearts for breakfast, an orange bar for lunch and the rest of the day will be soups.

I am about to get off my backside and be useful round the house, tidying up, having a shower and then ready for classes.

NumNums - I really hope you feel better soon.

Alex - You are just like me hun, one of my all time faves is having packages delivered, now if only our postman was a hunk, it'd be the best scenario! LMAO :D

I have actually just purchased a few bits from ebay - trainers (don't have any atm, and my feet are cold in the crap lil shoes I am wearing atm) and also bought some nice lingerie - why not?! :p

Ooh also, didn't realise we could have mussels on ss+ - that's handy to know as I do like them. Trouble is when you have them at restaurants they always come in a naughty sauce...

Hugs x x x

AI must be great to be almost down to the next size down, will fit you in no time! I like packages too, I did loads of ordering on ebay recently and my housemates got tired of all my packages and never getting any of their own! It got so bad after a while I was on first name terms with my posty, who is a bit hot!

I didn't know that you could get mussels either actually!
