The original recipe for Yakitori requires Sake and normal sugar, but I left out the Sake (as the syns would be a lot more)

me too at the moment. I bought myself a new wok and bamboo steamer in the sales, so have been doing lots of Chinese and Japanese dishes.

I would highly recommend a bamboo steamer to everyone too, the rice is perfect when cooked in it.

I will never boil my rice in a saucepan ever again.
