    Drinking Soya Milk?

Ok, so I use unsweetened soya milk in my tea instead of cream because I didn't like the taste of it. But, the other day i tried some soya on it's own and it's rather nice. I am quite a milk person and would often have a small glass of milk in the evening before starting Atkins of course. As...

    Newbie-ish!

Hi! I've been away from the forum for a while and been completely off the wagon :( I buried my head in the sand and now I hope I'm ready to start dieting again and actually stick to it! This is my first day on slim fast, haven't tried the plan before so hope it works well for me...

Hi, newbie here doing the 8 hour window/thirder type of fasting. Anyone else?

Thanks for inquring about that, that's the only thing i can't manage without in the morning is a proper cuppa! I've adjusted well to morning fasting too, and don't feel compelled to overeat during the 8 hours which is good as I thought the fasting might have that effect. However, annoying I...

How do you eat your eggs?

I know this sounds really silly, but how do you dry fry eggs? I really miss fried eggs but just can't imagine how they would cook well without any oil/spray or would stick to the pan. x

    Another Newbie :)

Hi there! I'm new to this aswell, I think I'm doing something similar to the Fast 5. I'm fasting for 16 hours and then eating for 8, obviously not the whole 8 though! I tried to do the 5:2 plan before the one I'm doing now and just couldn't hack it. I was eating way too much on non fasting...

Hi, Welcome to the forum, I'm pretty much a newbie too. Hope you find it useful, I've found it a great help already. x

Emotional Eating, Mental Illness and Weight Gain

I suffer with depression and find it so difficult not to binge eat when I'm really low, I think it's very common as depression and mental illness usually directly effect how we look after ourselves and food comes into that. Not only do I overeat when I'm low but I really can't get the motivation...

Hi, newbie here doing the 8 hour window/thirder type of fasting. Anyone else?

I think it's very true that it's about finding whats best for you, I find the 8 hour window good for me at the moment. I'm most prone to binge eat late at night and not so much during the day, so once I reach the end of the 8 hours which is 9pm for me, I feel like it is easier to tell myself...

    Hello :D New to MiniMins

Hi there! I'm a newbie too. I'd also LOVE a sweet chilli sauce recipe for noodles and simply dipping too, I love the stuff. I'm a bit of a nightmare with condiments and sauces, I'm worse than a child when it comes to ketchup!

    Whats for tea tonight?

I'm making the hairy dieters cottage pie, I find sundays really difficult. I hate eating an evening meal mid-day, by the time tea time arrives I want another, even if I'm not that hunger. I hate to break a routine, even for one day a week. So I'll be having mine at my usual tea time of 7pm...

    A bit of support needed!

I too suffer with depression, and when I am low I can find it so difficult to complete simple tasks and feel like I've really let myself and others around me down. Also, when I'm down I tend to either not eat, or binge eat and because I feel low I feel insecure about myself and a lot of my focus...

    FOOD DUMP !!!!

Love the idea of this thread. I'm dumping the chocolate and banana brownies I've just made, yes they are healthier, but it still doesn't mean I can eat them all!!! Total brownie brain right now

    The Hairy Dieters

I had the same experience with the skinny lasange, it was a nightmare to dish up and was a lot of effort blanching and layering leek sheets! I needed far more leek than the recipe stated too. It did taste very much like lasange to me which made it slightly worth all the fuss, but perhaps that's...

Hi, newbie here doing the 8 hour window/thirder type of fasting. Anyone else?

I'm female by the way :) That's really interesting, I've only heard that 16 hours is the minimum to benefit. I'm find 16 hours manageable and actually I don't miss breakfast, just the cup of tea I have with it! I have green tea in the morning instead which the book states is okay, but it just...

    Hey!

Hi, I'm a newbie too! Haven't ever thought of trying the dukan diet, watched a programme on it though, and seems many people have good results from it. Hope it goes well for you, and that this is the one for you. It can be horribly deflating when it seems like you can't find a diet to suit...

    George Foreman Grill

I LOVE my george foreman grill. I know it's really simple, but one of my favourite things is doing toasties in it, they come out so much better than those toastie making machines. I've had so much fun experimenting with different fillings. One of my fav is, reduced fat pesto, baby spinach and...

    Sweaty

I used to sweat a lot from anxiety, and tried a few different deodorants. I found Mitchum Advance Control, the Powder Fresh one I believe, which is in a stick form to work brilliantly. Was a real life saver for a long time! Maybe give that a try, hope you find something that works for you soon...

Hi, newbie here doing the 8 hour window/thirder type of fasting. Anyone else?

Annoyingly the main reason I want to lose weight is to fit into my clothes comfortably again. If I had the money to replace the clothes I can't wear, I'd probably rethink doing this short term diet. Also, I think dieting would help my think more about why I comfort and boredom eat so much and...

    Hi Everyone!

Aww, thank you. I am fairly happy as I am but I know when I'm happy, I eat. I really just want to get back into my pre-christmas clothes, especially jeans, as I'm living in leggings at the moment hehe! I really can't afford to buy a whole new wardrobe either. x

Hi, newbie here doing the 8 hour window/thirder type of fasting. Anyone else?

Hi, newbie here :) I have already introduced myself in the intro thread but didn't really go into my diet plan, so here goes... I've tampered around with intermittent fasting from doing research online and decided to try the DD/UD. I found 500 calories too restricting and I became way to...

    Hi Everyone!

Hello, I'm a nightmare yo yo dieter and bad comfort/boredom eater. I've lost a lot of weight during the past few years but this winter has been really tough and I've done a lot of comfort eating resulting in, of course weight gain. I'm struggling to start dieting/healthy eating again and want...
