    Question for Iris and other CC's

    Log them definately. If you don't have an actual record it is easy to forget things and not realize how much you are eating. I log them in the notes section in my iPhone - that way I have it with me at all times.

    Yep my scales have ounces as well. I quite like it as if you have only lost half a pound for example you can see this when you have ounces whereas on a scale without them it would seem you hadn't lost anything.;)

    Well done skinnymalink that first loss feels really good!! Getting started is the hard part once your on your way it gets easier. I wouldnt worry about going up in calories, going down to 1200 straight away is pretty low to start at so going up to 1500 shouldn't really be a problem. Good luck:)

    hey I have gone down to 1100 calories and I only do walking as exercise. I walk at least 20 miles a week and this equates to about 2500 calories in a week.
