hi red, sorry to hear about your grandad (bit of a late response, sorry) but you're right, hospital is the best place for him, he'll be better soon :) well done for the 2lbs loss, you're doing really well! i'm hoping to start taking the pills again on monday, i'm a little nervous because i...

Emmaaa is back, but not quite on the straight and narrow...

Hi Skye and Kae, thanks for the warm welcome back! I'm still not taking the pills just yet, I'm a little nervous to start because my diet is so up and down lately. I'm hoping to sort it out over the weekend and start the pills again on Monday. I'll keep you posted! :) x

Emmaaa is back, but not quite on the straight and narrow...

Well when I first started, I was using the Wii Fit every day, which I found really helpful. I was cycling too, but I couldn't afford to go to the gym. I really do think exercise works wonders with these pills. The pills just won't work properly without enough exercise. I still can't afford to go...

Emmaaa is back, but not quite on the straight and narrow...

Hi Kes, I'm currently the same as your start weight, 232lbs. I need to update my signature to say I'm not in the 15 stone bracket anymore, but I can't bear to do it yet! Lol. I'd love for us to egg each other on, as I'm rubbish when it comes to motivation. I do really well for a few weeks, then...

    Redkoala's Weight Loss Mission 2009/10

Hi Red, I've been having a read over some of your posts and watched your video on youtube too. I haven't been on this forum for a good few months so I've kinda lost touch with all the old regulars, and as you seem to be a new regular, I thought I'd better say hello! I'll be posting a lot more...

Emmaaa is back, but not quite on the straight and narrow...

Hi everyone, not sure if anybody remembers me as I haven't posted since mid August, but I'm back. I'd only been taking Xenical for a month or so before I disappeared, but I'd lost half a stone, so I was happy. But I moved back to Wales for my second year of university, and I totally fell off the...

    Waist Clincher/Nipper OT

I got a pair of control pants from Primark for £4, they're good value and do the job. If I had the cash to splash though, I'd definitely invest in some Spanx ones, I've heard they're really good! I also bought an under-bust waist cincher from ebay for £35 a few months ago to go with a white...

    light phili with basil

I agree with Austineer, I love the Morrisons own brand light soft cheese, it's yummy! It's the lowest fat percentage I've found, less than 5% fat. I have it on toast, or with pasta as well :) x

    Totally dispondent Today

I know this isn't the nicest topic to talk about (lol), but I was the opposite when I first started taking the tablets. I was 'going' every time I went for a pee, up to 8 times a day for the first week or so, then it settled down. I've had a few constipated phases, they only last a couple of...

what the hell is the matter with me!!! argh

I know what you mean Missy, I find it so easy to give good advice to others about staying on the wagon and staying motivated, but when it comes to advising myself, I just don't listen lol. Well done on the weight loss! Having a bad week is hard enough without trying to lose weight as well...

Emma's journey so far... one month in!

Hey Katie, yeah I feel much better today. I guess I was just having a shitty day lol. I've been a bit off and on with the diet for the past few days, I seem to have lost a lot of motivation. It could be due to me being at work every day and not having time to catch up with everyone on here, lol...

Emma's journey so far... one month in!

Hey Katie, at least it's half a pound in the right direction! I'm doing well so far today, I've had a bowl of cornflakes and a muller light yoghurt for breakfast. Breakfast was at noon though, because I slept really late haha. Starting to feel a bit peckish now, but I'll hang on a bit longer...

what the hell is the matter with me!!! argh

Oh Missy, don't be so harsh on yourself! You're right to say this 'diet' is life changing, but we can't be good all of the time. We have to learn to eat like a slim person, and slim people still have crisps and takeaways every now and then, so don't beat yourself up about it! Having a day off...

Losing Faith in xenical please help

Hi Dalaney, this reply is a bit of a late one because I've been AWOL for a few days, but I'm glad to see you're feeling a bit better. Everyone has days when they don't think the pills are working, but you should stick with them. I wouldn't recommend 'testing' them, as the side effects aren't...

    SW Weighin Last night.

Hi Anna, sorry this is a bit of a late reply. I don't think it matters too much how close together you take the tablets, but obviously it's best to spread them out if you can. Somebody with more experience should be able to advise better, but I've had no problems with taking one pill 2 or 3...

    newbie with Questions

Hey, welcome to Xenical and the MiniMins forum! My advice is yes, take the pills with all meals. The only reason you wouldn't take a pill would be if your meal had zero fat. I'm not sure what the side effects would be if you only took one pill a day, but I don't think it'd work effectively...

    im falling off the wagon.....

Hi Missy, it's understandable that everyone falls off the wagon occasionally. Everybody gets fed up and wants to give up every now and again, but you must stick with it. Hey, I think it's all trial and error really. Everybody is different, so you just need to try having more fat in your diet to see what kind of effect it has on you. I agree that shops have changed their sizes. I went to London to buy a dress for a Summer Ball a while ago, and it was a 50's style dress, like the ones on Grease, and the girl in the shop measured my waist and said I'd need a size 24(?!), whereas I usually wear a 16-18. Having a little bit of what you fancy every now and then isn't a problem, it's just making sure you stop at a little bit, and not ending up bingeing on too much of it! If you deprive yourself and cut something out of your diet completely, it'll be much harder and you'll probably end up caving in...

I love the boxing on it, and I'm even getting in to the running now, I used to hate it, but it's growing on me! Probably because I'm finding it easier and not getting out of breath as much. I can't seem to get as low down on the ground with the lunges as the trainer does, but hopefully that'll...

PiiNK is doing amazingly well! I so wish I could have the high losses she's had! I don't go to the gym at the minute as I haven't got the money for membership fees, but I'm planning to join the University's gym when I go back in a few weeks, so I'll hopefully see an improvement in my weight...

Hi Fiona, I wouldn't worry about the Wii weighing you differently to the slimming club scales.. the Wii says your weight can fluctuate up or down by 2.2lbs daily due to tiny changes in your body, plus the Wii takes into account the weight of your clothing and takes that off before giving you...

of course you can eat between meals, but try to make the snacks as healthy as possible. as far as i'm aware, the tablets only break down the fat for what you've eaten with the pill. that's why if you forget to take it with your meal, you only have up to an hour afterwards to take it, otherwise...
