    Using a Personal Trainer

    I had a personal trainer at the Gym I go to- I had 10 X 1/2 sessions with her & it was great! :) Not cheap though, but the program was tailor made to my specific needs & targeted the areas that needed targeting! :o I'm in Australia though, so I suppose that isn't much use to you.     Yes I have some of those body composiotion scales, & they are great! :D They're pretty expensive though. I'm doing a mixture of weights & cardio at the Gym, but then I'm not on SS. Perhaps the timing of your exercise is important- perhaps try doing it about 1 hour after eating!? ;)

    Toning bum and thighs

    Riding a bike makes a difference too! :) Since I started doing 40 minutes 3 times a week on the statioary bike at the Gym- my shape changed quite dramatically & that was without a lot of weight change too. I was trying to cut down, but not as seriously dieting as I am now! ;)

    Well it's Tuesday morning here in Aus so it's weigh in day for me! :) I lost 1.2 kgs or 2.86 lbs as you say over there! ;) Not as big a loss as last week, but that's to be expected. If I lose this much each week I'll be happy enough. ;)

    My husband lost quite a bit of weight on Atkins a few years ago- he is a meataholic & enjoyed it immensly! :p I think one has to be careful about the saturated fat intake though- he would eat piles of red meat & full fat cheese plus cream in his coffee, & though the weight certainly came off...

    I have a pedometer which I have been wearing, but I'm not energetic enough to power walk- it's more like a sedate walk! :p I make sure that I do 10000 steps a day at the very least though. Maybe I should start getting more energetic about it!:)

    I'm so sorry to hear about the Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have a cousin who has it & recently they have put her on some new medication which seems to help the pain. Health problems are a very good motivation for diet. :) 10 lbs is excellent! :patback: Very well done- keep it going! ;)

    Yeah, I think it's all to do with water/salt levels! I've been dieting all my life :eek: & have noticed this a lot, but the low carb type of diet is new to me & I'm hoping that the weight will just goes down from now on! :confused: It's only day 3 so we'll see! ;)
