Happened to me too - if it carries on do go to the doctors though as they may be able to prescribe you something to stop it.

    One handed meals...

So have been in hospital for the past 2 days - now the proud owner of a bionic wrist with a plate and 10 pins! Mainly been surviving on chocolate as the only food I was given I couldn't eat - e.g. toast - try buttering that with one arm in a sling! Anyway, back on it as of tomorrow - I will not...

    One handed meals...

Thanks all, some good ideas. Think I need to get an electric can opener pronto. At the moment the way the cast is, I can't use my bad arm at all but this may change if it gets operated on - I find out at fracture clinic tomorrow.

    One handed meals...

I broke my wrist pretty badly a couple of days ago whilst skiing - now home and probably looking at an operation later in the week. I live alone and am really struggling to think of meals that can be prepared and eaten one handed! Since I got home last night I've managed wine, a microwave curry...

Anyone in a panic about christmas or is it just me? lol

I'm going skiing for a week over Christmas and we're in a catered chalet so will have very little control over what I eat. My tactic is going to be avoiding pudding as much as possible, trying to have healthier options such as porridge for breakfast (rather than croissants or cooked breakfast)...

    Flexi night!

Well, Harry Potter was brilliant and I resisted the pick and mix. The meal afterwards was, as predicted, fantastic. Had mussels in a tomato and chilli sauce for starter (guess would have had some oil in but otherwise not too bad) then had a perfectly cooked (well, blue!!!) fillet steak with a...

    Flexi night!

    Creamy broccoli soup

Yep it's the potato - I was sceptical too but honestly it really works! Had the rest for lunch today and stirred in some fat free natural yogurt which made it even tastier.

    Whats your motivation?

Sounds silly but at almost 6ft tall I'm always likely to be the tallest in a group of women and I can't change that....but I don't want to be the fattest too! Short term, I want to fit into my ski trousers by the time I go skiing at Christmas.

    Creamy broccoli soup

Just made this for lunch - thick, creamy and VERY filling. 1 onion, chopped 1 large potato, peeled and chopped into small pieces 1 head of broccoli, chopped into small florets 400mls boiling water (this makes a very thick soup so add more if you want) Veg OXO cube Pinch each of salt...

    I now get hungry....

I find protein is the best thing to stop me getting the mid morning munchies. Bacon sarnies and eggy bread are two favourites. If am in a rush will sometimes have cold chicken or ham in the car on the wy to work - odd I know but seems to work for me!

    Green/red meals. Inspiration needed!!

I've been eating a lot of homemade soup - had tomato, lentil, chilli and chickpea which was lovely and also broccoli and potato which was really filling. Try the BBC/Good food website - a lot of the recipes are SW friendly or can be easily adapted. I've tried to cook at least one new recipe...

Sunday Weighers... or is it only me?

1.5 lb off this week for me - happy with that. Has been a funny week, was on nights Mon to Thurs and was really good, although probably not eating enough as I never get hungry on nights. Then had My sister and her husband to stay on Friday night - went for sushi which was a good choice but did...

Sunday Weighers... or is it only me?

Wowzers, some very impressive losses. Good motivation for me to be good this week. Will you have me back please?! Was away visiting friends for a week (lots of fun but very bad in terms of alcohol consumed) then the day I got back, determined to be back on track 100% I ended up crashing my car in the ice. Terrifying experience. Had no car for a few days before they gave me...

    october 2009

Good luck and well done for actually recognising the weight gain and doing something about it. Post Christmas weigh-in

I always WI in the morning (as other have said, as long as you do it at the same time every week it doesn't matter).
