Mine are 34GG (36H before losing the 23lbs I have so far!) and so they've got a bit smaller but not much. I know what you mean and they can be really annoying - I get sore shoulders and the back of my neck seems to go numb a lot, not to mention underwear shopping and trying to find nice clothes...
Thanks!
By the way, I used to come on here before, but I didn't stick to it too well, lost about a stone and a half and then put on two!
I'm much more determined this time though.
Hi everyone,
Just thought I would say hello as I'm now starting my 4th week of Exante and starting to struggle a bit with it! I really want to stick at it though and hopefully can get down to about 11 stone by Christmas...
We'll see!
Miss D - I think as long as you plan these things and think about them and consider it, and then eat for the right reasons it's a good thing. It shows you have control and it's probably really important to be able to eat a bit, have fun and then get back to it. IMO it's what most people who...
lol! I've had this said to me too! It followed on from 'oooh, I can't believe how small your neck is!' It's funny the places people seem to notice it coming off of!
Updated this morning - another look on the scales and I'm 2lb down from yesterday!
Yambabe - 10lbs - 2lbs to go - 8lbs lost
Karen - 15lbs - 9.5lbs to go - 5.5lbs lost
Miss D - 14lb - 3.6lb to go - 10.4lbs lost
justgina - 6lb - 6lb to go-0lbs lost
Shuffler - 12lbs - 5lbs to go - 7lbs lost...
Arrrgh - sorry guys for the visceral detail there! I'm just amazed I lost anything - I weighed myself again this morning just to check, and I'm another 2lbs down!!
1lb down, despite tapas, apple crumble, pastrami, babybel, cocktails, gin, wine and a rather large mixed grill!
I am so chuffed! Back to it 100% now - I've had my half way through fun, now I've got to get my head back down and get to under 11 stone!
honk for Monday (after my birthday treats) and today. Last night I had a mixed grill and a bottle of wine. But I'm back at work now and so back into the routine again! Phew!
I think it is an exception - I was being way too harsh on myself to think I had to go without!
St Ives - it did taste good but I got full up very quickly and it seemed very rich indeed! Bet you're looking forward to your holiday!
Happy Anniversary for next week Mrs R !
Well had stuck to it 100% until yesterday - it was my birthday so I ended up giving in and having tapas and cocktails in the evening. BUT... I had a wonderful time that I don't think I would have had if I didn't go out and have a few drinks and some damned nice food. I'm back on track today...
Went to art college and did my foundation year but didn't end up going to uni. Combo of it being too expensive, not useful enough and not really wanting to do art any more!
I actually really like the milkshakes, especially banana! They do taste like Nesquik to me - but then I do tend to make milkshake really weak normally...
Thanks! Now I look at the pictures I can see it - it's weird because I had got to the point where I was too big for all my slothes, and now they just fit me again so it doesn't feel as much of an achievement as maybe getting into a new size! I feel fine now though, scrutinized those pics and I...
Hi there and welcome! I too have a KFC just over the road. And a Chinese takeaway, and a kebab van. The smells waft in...
It's really hard but just grit your teeth and power through!
1lb for me this week! Would have liked more to come off but it's a loss so that's the main thing! Not long now and I will have lost the first stone!
Yambabe - 10lbs - 5lbs to go - 5lbs lost
Karen - 15lbs - 9.5lbs to go - 5.5lbs lost
Miss D - 14lb - 6.2lb to go - 7.8lbs lost
justgina - 6lb -...
Fongy - Yes we're talking about the same Barnardo's
Somewhere Inside is Me - What an amazing job :) I'm starting volunteering for Bristol rape crisis soon - looking forward to it
It was so hard everywhere I went on Saturday there was BBQ smell - I love BBQs, impromptu ones with friends and those little stubby bottles of cheap beer....
Yep - get a whisk! It totally changes them - makes them so much nicer. They're well cheap too, as Miss D says.
I feel really funny, carrying my whisk and container around everywhere with me in a carrier bag!
I've got nothing to compare this to as I haven't done a VLCD before either, but for me it's working out well so far -
I like the shakes, they're tasty
The soups are ok, but I'm not a fan of soup much anyway
Bars are yummy but I find them a bit of a struggle to eat
Taking the choice out of...
This is a really good idea for a thread by the way - it's something I know I'm going to have to be really careful about and plan properly. A colleague at work has done/is doing CD - started new year, at a similar height and weight to me when I started. She got down to 10st, which was her...
This is kind of what I've been thinking really as well. Might try to stick to a shake for lunch during the week, a sensible healthy tea and maybe a shake for breakfast, or some fruit.
I just have an office job, so I find it a lot easier to stick to the diet while I'm at work. I am busy doing things all day and so find I'm not really distracted by food.
I found the bank holiday weekend really hard - 4 days of sitting about, not going anywhere or doing anything and not being...
Blatant disrespect?
Insisted in causing?
Those are very strong things to say. Disrespect is rather a heavy concept for a dieting forum where we're all just trying to support each other.
Yeehaah! 3lbs gone - overnight it would seem!!
Yambabe - 10lbs - 8.5lbs to go - 1.5lbs lost
Karen - 15lbs - 9.5lbs to go - 5.5lbs lost
Miss D - 14lb - 10.4lb to go - 3.6lbs lost
justgina-6lb-6lb to go-0lbs lost
Shuffler - 12lbs - 9lbs to go - 3lbs lost
StIves - 12lbs - 12lbs to go - 0lbs lost...
Wellllll, I am pleased to announce that whatever the odd glitch on the scales was the other day is gone and I weigh 11st 13!!! Hooray!!!
That's 3lbs down in week 2, despite my 2 boiled eggys I had last night instead of a pack!
I have learned two things:
1. Don't forget your packs if...
I think there are some that are alright compared to other ones, and if it helps you get control over portions and stuff it's probably ok for a while. Usually they are very small portions.
Thanks everyone, this has made me feel much better!
I hope that it's probably just my body being slow and taking a while to catch up.
I think I've got smaller - my boyfriend and his house mate have both commented that I look a bit smaller around the ribs, so that will be fine for now! :)
It's really brave of you to come on here and say all those things. It's also really rubbish that it all gets made into such a female issue all the time, and that you have had to feel so worried about having these problems as a man. I'm sure just as many men are overweight as women, perhaps a...
Thanks guys!
I haven't been measuring myself, so I probably should grab a tape measure and check!
It's not my TOTM but it was when I started and I'm on the pill (Dianette for my skin which is apparently a little different to the normal pill) which historically has made it hard for me to lose...
It's not my official weigh in until tomorrow morning but I stupidly had a sneaky peak at the scales this morning only to find that I have GAINED 1lb.
I have stuck to the diet 100%, and when I say 100% that means drinking all the water too. I had one day where all I drank was 2l of water...
Thanks Mini - I would use the dodgy tum excuse except it's going to be a weekly occurence for about 5 or six weeks so I could only use that once!
I just hope I'm worried about nothing and they won't care whether I eat or not!
Right, I'm starting some volunteering soon and the training starts next week, and I think there are 5 or six weeks of training once a week to go to.
Here's the thing - Lunch is provided.
Meaning sandwiches and stuff and bad things.
It's going to be hard to turn up, try to be included and...
Oh god, I know - the no booze is really difficult! I haven't gone this long without drinking since I started drinking... that's terrible!! I find that usually I am happy to be anywahere, doing absolutely nothing as long as I have alcohol, but now I'm getting really antsy and bored all the...
Miss R - Well one for sticking it out despite headache/hunger!
St Ives - woohoo!! A whole stone!!
Miss D - I found peppermint tea really helped, or anything warm really. No pain in the tum yester day or today so far so hopefully that's it. Next time I will be buying some ranitidine though, as...
Most clothes that are loads more expensive are probably still made by the same kids in sweat shops - but at least Asda and the like have the decency to pass the savings onto their customers!!
I can't imagine having the packs alongside 'real food'. In the context of them being the only thing you eat they aren't horrible - in fact I really like the milkshakes and the rasin bar - but that's when I'm not eating anything else in the same day to compare them with.
I think the nature of the...
It's horrible isn't it! I've been coughing loads at night and throat feels really tickly. Earache has gone today though, thank god! That was really doing my head in. 4 day weekend starts tomorrow though! Yipeeeeee!
Well I have Easter and my Birthday this month, and a couple of parties to go to, but I'm determined to stick to it 100%. Difficult to come up with a target, so will hope for 3lbs a week.
Yambabe - 10lbs - 10lbs to go - 0lbs lost
Karen - 15lbs - 15lbs to go - 0lbs lost
Miss D - 14lb - 14lb to...
Well none of it is brilliant quality, but to be honest most more expensive places seem to have the same low level quality but charge £20 - £30 for a pair of jeans/jumper/whatever instead of the under a tenner Primark equivalent!
If I was gonna buy something lasting though that I knew I would...
Oh no!!
Just put it behind you and get back on track!
Well done for only eating part of the meal though and only a couple of chocs. Hopefully it won't affect anything too much x
Thanks everyone!! xxx
Good job it's a long weekend, I shall be snuggled up with my bf under a big duvet watching The Wire, and not doing anything else!! I'm sure I will feel better after that.
First weigh in this morning, and I've lost 8lbs!!!:scale:
Woohoo!
I'm so pleased, it has all been worth it - and now I feel geared up for week two.
Wish this earache and sore throat would go though. I've hardly slept :(
Thank you very much! The sleeve did hurt a lot in certain places, and it's not even finished yet
I love my hair pink - I have tried to be sensible before but it just doesn't fly!
x
Just think of your time on the simple solution as 'training' for the main event of the total solution. You'll go into the total solution with a lower starting weight, and you'll be used to eating less.
Good luck, with Exante and the elbow recovery x
Wondered if any of you have done this. I took before pics, from the front and side, and I might update them every week when I do my weigh in - hopefully it will be a good motivator!
Welcome! I'm on day 7 and it's my first weigh in tomorrow! I am the same as you, milkshakes and bars good, soups not so good, although the mushroom was pretty nice. I already feel a bit slimmer even after just a week, I'm planning to stick to total solution for at least 4 weeks, see how I...
my poo has now turned into lovely neat little nuggets, of which I pass one or two a day, lol!
I have been drinking LOADS of water, so maybe that really does help!
If I lived on my own I think I probably would have cleared out all the food in my house, but I share, so knowing that wasn't an option I think I just accepted that I will have to be around food and drink a lot, and just have to put up with it. Hopefully it will just strengthen my resolve and...
£1.14 - for a red pepper?!?!?!
Good lord! I'm genuinely shocked.
I think I'm going to research nice healthy recipes a-la Milux so when I start eating real food again I am prepared and can plan lots of nice healthy, weight maintaining meals!
Haha!!
Well, I went to bed, got a much better night's sleep than I have had the past few days and now I feel fine.
Sitting through the lasagne and profiteroles (and Raymond Blanc making bread on the telly) was actually a good thing I think. Made me feel good to have resisted and reminded me...
I think they will probably send you another email shortly saying that they haven't received a payment, and do you want to make one. I messed it up the first time I tried to order - realised I didn't actually have any money in my account yet so just closed it before I got to the paypal bit, and...
This is great - totally how I feel. There's no way you can make the decision to lose weight and keep it off for good unless you get to a place where you actually care about and respect yourself and your body first. Otherwise you're just going to keep filling it full of rubbish and continue to...
haha! That's actually a very interesting fact!
eating that late though... you can see where I get my eating habits from! And now they're going to have profiteroles!!!
Well I feel much better now after a hot bath and a bit of a snooze - despite the fact that my family are now sat around me eating lasagne and garlic bread... I'm imagining the smell is the same as me eating it. Mmmmmm!
i'm sooo tired today. I haven't felt hungry bit just drained and sleepy. I also have a really sore throat... has anyone else had that? It probably isn't anything to do with the diet, might be coming down with something :(
I hardly slept last night or the night before either. I've gone round...
I have so many things coming up, there's about a million people's birthdays in April and May - it's going to be so hard! All my friends will be eating and drinking and being merry... I will just have to try my best to join in I suppose without caving in!
Also I am in love with the Banana milkshake, and both of the bars. Vanilla is nice with some coffee in and all the rest I don't hate - just wouldn't exactly describe them as 'nice'!
Maybe just have half a shake? But then you won't be getting the full amount of nutrients for the day...
It wasn't too much extra, maybe just try not to beat yourself up about it too much and just make sure you don't do it again! I know how you feel though, I heven't cheated yet but all I did...
My family usually just make a point of meeting up and having dinner and lots of tasty food... they aren't about this Easter though, so I won't have to do that, but going 'out for a meal' with my boyfriend's parents on Easter Monday. I'm determined not to go off track though, I will have a bar...
Bren - I bought it fresh on Friday night... I think it's just going to be one of those things that don't agree with my tastebuds! Going to get some fennel and some peppermint I think. I know I like those!
I found day three pretty horrible and that was without going for a run! Just let yourself relax into it a bit before you start on the exercise. Maybe wait until the weight loss starts to slow down after the 1st or second week, that way the exercise will kick in and help you lose a little bit...
I have been watching Masterchef - sort of to deliberately de-sensitise myself to food imagery!
I don't have a bath in my flat, just a crappy little shower, but I went to my mum's the other night and had a nice long soak. Made me feel real nice! I bought a sachet of face mask and everything!
1> Being able to shut the hell up and stop moaning to other people about how rubbish I feel about myself, and to be able to whole-heartedly accept all of the wonderful things my boyfriend says to me instead of brushing off his compliments or getting p*ssy and accusing him of lying to me...
Honk for yesterday, day 3! I think yesterday was the worst so far for feeling spaced out, ended up in a meeting that over-ran and I ran out of water... it went on til 2pm and I felt sick with hunger by the time I got out, but had a chocolate shake straight away and was fine. Today I am...
I tried the Tick Tock rooibus tea after my brekkie - it was foul! I like loads of other herbal teas but I'm just not gonna get on with this one... it smells like dirty hay from a pet's cage.... eww!
Was wondering what you all do to distract yourself from the hunger or cravings!
I'm thinking a nice hot bath, or painting my nails or something like that will help.
Thought we could all share different ideas.
There's plenty of choice then, that's good! We've got loads of different types of tea in the cupboard at work so I can start discovering them all! In fact, Bren I think we might even have that Tick Tock rooibos tea...
The bars are really quite yummy, hopefully they won't mess with me too much once the weight loss gets going.
Like Yambabe says though - whichever way you lose it, you're bound to lose weight on 600 calories a day faster than most other diets so it's all good!
So, fruit teas are out because of the citric acid, but what other teas are people drinking?
I've had a few black coffees and black teas so far and I've seen that a few of you like peppermint tea - what about the other herbal ones like fennel, chamomile, nettle etc? Do they seem to be ok?
I...
Thanks guys, one day in and fell ok so far, but I'm expecting the hunger to kick in this evening...
I think the Thai chicken soup might have been one of the strangest things I've tasted! It was like having a slightly fragrant milkshake...
I have just ordered 2 bumper packs - one mixed one with shakes, soups and bars and then one with just shakes. Hopefully it will be delivered tomorrow so I can get going!
I would like to lose about 2 and a half - 3 stone, and hopefully reduce the size of my boobs a bit as they are a bit...
I've been lurking a bit... but have to wait til Tuesday to order my packs so I'm sure when I actually start the thing I'll have plent more to say! Just been reading posts and 'psyching myself up':D
Glad the antihistamine seemed to work! Being itchy is horrible.
I get pretty bad eczema on my hands and will be interested to see if this clears up at all when I stop eating conventional food (and therefore potential causes of the eczema)
I was also wondering this about the price of the bulk pack! I wasn't sure whether to order two packs 'while the offer was still on' but now I think I will just get my first month's worth and then order it in again!
Haha! I suppose they do have to be careful not to be seen to advocate such 'extreme' measures for people who are a reasonably healthy weight. I shall see how I get on with it!
Well, I was planning on doing the total version as the thing that appealed to me was removing food from the equation altogether. On their website it just says it's not suitable if your BMI is under 25, so I thought I'd be alright.
I was thinking of doing the total plan for about 4 weeks and...
Hi! Good luck, hope you get over the initial bump soon. I'm new here too and have never done one of these types of diet before. Going to be starting in a couple of weeks.
Nice to meet you :-)
Right! I'm determined now. I've even just taken 'before' pictures. I'm so skint all the time that I will literally be spending all my food budget on Exante stuff, so I will have no other option but to stick to it :-)
I loved reading about people who treat themselves with sparkling water from...
Hi both, and thanks for the advice! I am a bit of a pasta freak so I think I'll try to stop with that until I start...
This might sound really bad, but I think the not drinking alcohol might be just as hard as the not eating :o
It feels a bit weird coming on here before I've even started...
Hi guys!
I've already posted in the introduction forum but thought i would post in here too.
I'm starting on Exante total solutions in 2 weeks time (when I get paid and can order it, lol!) and just wanted to know what to expect, if any of you have any tips on how to get through it etc...
Hi Everyone! :D
I've decided to go on the Exante total solutions diet and lose the couple of stone that has been bothering me for so long. In my searches about the diet I came across this forum, had a little read and it seems really friendly and hopefully it will help me stick at it!
x
