    Portion sizes

    As far as I understand it, free foods are used for their filling power, so you fill up on those before eating other food groups. The healthy extras are allowed for the calcium and fibre content and protein is encouraged because it also has filling power

    I think it’s around 75g or 3 oz for pasta and rice, as for potatoes , I use a single medium to large potato for jacket or 1 portion of chips. I know they’re free foods but I still stick to the same portion size for these.

    GAINING WEIGHT ON SLIMMING WORLD

    You still have to be mindful of portion sizes, yes free food is free but it is still calories going in. Definitely recommend keeping a food diary. It can take a while for your body to adjust. Well done on the weight loss this week!! :0clapper:

    Tastefully Vikki on YouTube has some great soup recipes, and although she uses a soup maker (as do I) they can just as easily be made on the hob or in a pressure cooker or slow cooker
