3 wks to hol with boyfriends kids & a stone to lose!

Hi, 1st time i have been on here so someone please post me a message or i might :wave_cry: !
My names Alex (username madame lexy so folk realise i am actually female ) & i am going on hol with my boyfriends teenage kids in 3 wks.
Have bought some Cambridge stuff (which i have never done b4) off e-bay & am expecting it to arrive & to get started in the morning.
Currently weigh 11stone 12 according to Boots, would like a stone off a.s.a.p for hol but i need to keep it off while away that week as my friends are coming out to join me for a week the day my boyfriend & kids go home.
If any1 has any advice (however small or daft it may seem) i would be very .
I dont want them going home telling his ex how i have let myself go or owt .

Welcome to the boards and for choosing CD.
Just one question though, why did you not go through a cambridge counsillor instead of paying over the odds on ebay, just you dont know what you are getting. The packs could have been tampered with.
Plus going with a CDC you also get the support and advice, when you need it.

The key to these diets is plenty of water, drink it regularly through the day.

There isnt a counsellor close to me & i wanted to get started soon as poss. I got quite a good deal on e-bay (i think), 37 various shakes & soup sachets plus 2 bottles water flavouring for £50 plus a fiver postage. Lady says bought them off a counsellor & are all dated 2008 & are sealed so hopefully be ok. I guess the rest is down to trust ! Do you think if i stick to it religously & drink plenty water have chance of losing my stone in 3 weeks?

Hi Alex,

As everyone loses weight differently it is hard to say how much weight you will lose for certain but you may well lose a stone in three weeks. The guidelines are for a stone a month for women on a vlcd.

When your doing a vlcd you can't just stop it and go eating high carbs as this will cause carb over-loading.

One of the reasons why you do need the guindance of a good Counsellor as they can advise you of the in's and out's of the diet and support you and to check that you are suitable for doing Sole Source as you could have medical reasons that a vlcd may not be suitable.

Your health is your wealth at the end of the day.

I know it is a huge temptation to buy off the Internet but you really have no guarantees that you actually have bought the genuine product as packaging is easily copied.

We know that already with perfume etc.

Here is a link and if you can not find a CDC close to you if you phone Cambridge Diet head office they might know someone as not all of the CDC's have their name on this list.

Thanks for that link, it turns out there is a counsellor only a few miles away so i have just e-mailed her. When i e-mailed the Cambridge Website yesterday they gave me completely different details for my nearest counsellor which was 20 miles away - please forward this link to more people as no doubt others will be put off by this aswell. Thanks again, you're a star

Delighted you have found someone close to you.

You will also be able to get more of a selection as well and find the flavours that you really like.


I find for going out and about the tetra's packs are very handy along with the CD bars.
