Hello All,

I thought I would just let you know that I have lost a total of 4 stone and half a pound in 16 weeks.

This diet is hard - but it does work, and it is life changing!!!

I have also had to buy a whole new wardrobe!!! ha ha.

I am mainly writing this, as I read a post just before I started with someone saying they had lost 4 stone, and then CurlyWurly's post of 5 stone in just under 5 months. I found it really inspirational at the time, and thought 'yes I can do it'.

So if you are starting, or on your journey - you will get there!!! Keep focused and happy, and start saving for your new wardrobe!! ha ha.

I am nearly at goal now, I have another 10/14 lbs to go - but I will update my ticker next week, after I have been at my orginal goal for a week!!

Thanks for reading,

Bethan

You have done brilliantly well.......I am soooo happy for you!! You just got stuck right in and kept with it....congratulations. I am fed up with myself though though, we started at about the same time with a similar amount to lose and I lost the plot after a good initial loss...still messing about. So, any reflections on how you coped when the going got tough would be so welcome. You look fantastic...thanks for posting your pics....inspiration for me to stop messing about, more proof it can be done!!

Woohoo ladyB!!!!
I really do understand the inspirational angle here. It's nice to know people make it to their desired weight goal 'did you struggle? I mean were you 100%? I just always seem to have something popping up and then, it's so hard to get back in the saddle. believe me, I'm motivated, but life happens... so I was just wondering. thank you again for sharing your pics, you look great!

Cankles - Keep posting, and you will be able to everything very soon! Welcome to the forum - the people here have supported me all the way, and I couldn't have done it without everyone!

Paris - well done on finishing your first week!!!! It is hard, but your cravings will go soon too - then it will be easy!! Keep it up - and use this forum for support!!!!!

Imagisal - hi babe!!!! I like to call it the mid way wobble!!! I got half way through, I looked slimmer - and boy did it feel good!! I had a holiday, a couple of weddings and a ball - and boy was it hard or what to get back on 100%!!!! I guess I just focussed on the fact that I felt good - but not brilliant....... and I knew I was still a size 16 and I wanted to be a 12. I took each day at a time, used my Butterflies (group) for support and did it. It was easier when I started to see the weight come off again, I did 13lbs in 3 weeks after my midway wobble!!! ha ha!! I guess you need to decide if you are happy where you are, and if not sort your head out and get back on it. I also set a goal date for when I was to finish - I wanted to have lost 4 stone by the end of sept. I have done it, and now I am going to do some more. You only have just over 20lbs to go...... If you get done and dusted in Novemeber - you can enjoy the December party season!!!
Sorry - but that is all the wisdom I have - use the wonderful people here for support - and stay focussed on your end goal

xxxx

Hi Enlightenme!!!

When I decided to do this diet, I knew that if I focussed I would be done in 3 months. I decided that 3 months out of my entire life is not much, and thought it was a fair price to be thin!!!!

There were a few things that decided to eat on, mainly because it would be too rude not to. So this was the two weddings and the ball.

All other social engagements - including my birthday, my Grandparents golden wedding anniversary and a hen night - I didn't eat. I sat there, ordered a ltr of sparkling water and plenty of coffee!! I learnt that is isn't the eating that makes a great social occasion - but it is about taking part, being there and having a great time! (Besides you may remember your birthday, what you did, and where you ate - but do you actually remember what you ate???)

Like I said - I did 3 times off the saddle - and the third time it was so hard to get back on it. I therefore decided that I couldn't do another break - I had to stay 100%.

I just focussed day by day - and waited for WI in each week. I have to be careful on the bars, I have one on the evening of WI and one on Saturday night.

I hope this helps babe.......... my journey has been so quick, in some ways I am still not sure how I did it!!! ha ha.

xxx

Congratulations - I just started 10 days ago and it's good to see people's success stories on here. It makes me think that perhaps I will succeed too.
I would love to see the photos but I can't seem to. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
