actual calories or net calories?

    Diet:
    Slimming World
    I generally eat 800-1000 calories (sometimes more) and burn around 400. On the whole my net calories are up to about 700. To maintain my weight I would need 2500, so going by net calories, I should have a deficit of around 1500? So I should drop 3lb per week right?

    From my calculations, you should lose around 4lbs, not counting the calories you lose from working out.

    Unfortunately it doesn't always work like that. If you look at people doing a VLCD some have weeks of low losses or no losses despite being on 400 - 600 cals a day

    That's because their body isn't getting enough food or the fact that their body is use to 400-600 and needs a bit of change.

    On a VLCD you're not having any food lol

    But despite the huge calorie deficit we all gave disappointing weeks now and again
