Hiya... its been a while since i did cd...
and when i did it i didn't do add a meal week..
i've heard that add a meal week can increase your metabolism and aid in weight loss...
i have packs but i can't remeber what vegetables and which meat and proteins i'm allowed to have exaclty...
i know u can have chiken and cod... are we allowed to have salmon too....
also my scales wasn't working and i was wondering if some one could tell me the quatities of veg and protein approx in table spoons...
i thought i'd do it properly this time...
also any recipes from u guys will be highly appreciated...

cheers

Here are the masures/quantities for AAM :

Protein Choose one

11g/4oz cottage cheese (reduced fat)
50g/2oz chicken or turkey breast without skin
80g/3oz cod, haddock or other white fish
80g/3oz quorn
60g/2.5oz soft tofu opr 120g(5oz) firm tofu

and...

Veg

2 tablespoons of one of the following...

green salad leaves eg. roquette, lambs lettuce watercress, raddiccio, little gem/romain lettuces.

celery, cucumber or red raddishes

courgettes or marrow

broccoli, cauliflower or any cabbage including pickled cabbage.

spinach, kale, turnip or taro tops

asparagus, fennel and celeriac

chinese leafy greens such as pak choi or chinese cabbage.

don't add salt or fat but add herbs and a wee bit of stock if you want.

As for salmon i would say a no go as the amount you could have on aam would be minascule as its an oily fish, so better the white fish

Thanks hun...:)
i see we can have more quorn or white fish than chicken...
do u know if we can add any spices? chilli, turmeric etc.

As far as i read from a reply from CD to another counsellor

Only recommended once during week
50g fresh tuna (grill/microwave without fat) or
90g frozen shelled prawns - eaten without the addition of fat or
75g drained weight light meat canned tuna in spring water eaten without the addition of fat
You can have 30g of salmon on add a meal. Don't get too excited, it's just over 1oz

Hey guys,

I'm still way away from the add a meal week, but im confused... 2 tablespoons of veg? How does that work? e.g. with asparagus, do you chop it to the length of a tablespoon and fill it?

Sorry, probably a stupid question, but was wondering!
