Hi there
It's quite expensive but I have tried every diet over the past 15 years and can't seem to stick to anything - most I've ever lost is 1.5 stone. I didn't lose weight quick enough to keep me motivated. Decided I needed something strict and get out of the habit of eating sweet things all the time. I was finding on Weightwatchers I was making sure I had enough points to eat chocolate and never got out of the habit of it. On Slimming World I just ate too much, huge portions and because I'd done these diets soooo many times and failed I just knew I would never get there with them.
Heard about Alizonne on local radio. Googled it and immediately felt really really excited. Yes, it is expensive but I need to be kept to a strict plan and lose weight quickly enough to keep me motivated. I know the pitfalls of quick diets, saggy skin and as soon as you stop it all piles on but the way Alizonne reintroduce food types back into your diet gradually, measure your metabolic rate so that you know how much you can eat without putting on weight and support you for a minimum of a year after you've lost your weight seems really good. The weekly skin treatments obviously increase the cost but a small price to pay I think to avoid saggy skin.
It is really expensive but if I counted up how much i've spent on other diets that haven't worked for me over the past 15 years it would exceed the amount I am paying. First consultation (45 mins with NHS doc and 30 mins with consultant), bloods, metabolic & fat test, food for a week and supplements was £450. Weekly thereafter in phase 1 (for me about 8 wks) will be £210, it then gets cheaper as you need less of the Alizonne food. Overall the doc worked out that I will reach my target of 9 stone 8 in approx. 14 weeks. This is me losing 4 stone 4lb and I should reach this by end Feb/start March. It will end up costing me about £3500-£4k overall. It's quite a good incentive to stick to it! Normally I'd be tempted to accept the odd biscuit but not on this as it stops the fat burning process and you lose about 3 days until you get back into ketosis. Work that out in money and you'd skip the biscuit!!!!
BTW I'm not loaded!! I've just taken a 0% finance credit card and I'm paying it up! It's pretty much guaranteed that I'll reach my target weight in February and I've never had that from any diet I've done so I'm giving it a shot.
Have my first weight in on Saturday and first ultrasound and skin tightening treatments and I've actually quite liked the food!
Sorry, went on a bit but I'm still quite excited!!! Also, 5 days in and I feel great
