Alli takes the scenic route to maintenance

Glad you're feeling better hun... clubbing, eh? You'll dance off the cals from the meal. Go for it! (The dancing, not the scoffing!)

Haha, Alli I am a bot of a food porn addict. Love buying cooking mags, watching cooking shows, etc.....its like self torture really! Why do we do it?

How you finding diet tracker? I have begun using it on trial, and it is very helpful, but I dont know if worth buying as I'm going back to aus soon and I dont know if it will have enough products from home i there.

I like how it tells you your carb, protein and fat profile for the day, and then what it hopes you will have....thts good to keep you on track....I never realised how many carbs were in some products!

Enjoy your clubbing and dinner. I am sorta doing the same and meeting old colleagues for drinks and a meal tonight.....think I'll just choose wisely, salad or meat and veg....cant go wrong then. Plus I'm sure the wine I drink will take me well over cals.

Can you reccommend a good low cal drink....(p.s. I hate any type of coke)

LOL Raquel - I'm not one for recommending drinks as my evenings are generally spent pottering about in pyjamas (at home obviously!)
How about gin and slim line tonic? I love vodka cranberry but only at home where I can use the light juice - I suspect you don't get the choice in most bars...

I'm sticking to wine and am limiting myself to a couple of glasses. As I don't drink much that should be enough - don't want to be the talk of the office on Monday :D

Oh I don't know....should liven things up a little for the rest of the week. Have fun!!

Hey Ali,
Hope you had a great night.............
I love vodka and cranberry havent had one for years.............
A glass of red wine is what I enjoy at the moment............
Have a good one xxx

Hi everyone!

I had a great night last night and had far too much to eat and drink. Still it was good fun and I did lots of dancing to claw those calories back :)

Have been to see my CDC this morning and I'm maintaining my weight well. I have decided to go on the 1200 plan (ish) for the next couple of weeks to try and lose a few more lbs as I want to be just a little bit further away from BMI 25. With Xmas coming up I'd rather have a bit more of a margin if that makes sense.

I'm exhausted as I've spent the morning shopping for birthday pressies and then at a birthday party wiht my 5 year old DD. Very good but loud entertainment and so we're both just chilling out at home now. DH and DS out bowling.

We can't decide whether to go to a bonfire event nearby tonight. It's quite expensive but the weather is so great it would be lovely to go. On the other hand I'd quite like to stay at home and just relax. We'll see how the rest of the day goes.

Happy Saturday everyone!

Ah, once you offset all that dancing you'll be fine, I bet! Definitely looking for a lazy night in with DVD today...

Woke up this morning to find my DS having devoured 7, yes 7!!! yoghurts whilst watching TV. That was meant to be their afternoon snack for next week - so will have to go back to shops today. I'm not happy ;)

Food yesterday was good. I wasn't feeling particularly hungry so just ate what I had planned and nothing more. Still put on 2 lbs from yesterday - i'm guessing that's the pizza weight arriving a day late. How rude!

Today I'm hoping to get DH to do the taxi duties while I go and see a friend of mine. We live just 10 minutes apart and see each other in restaurants regularly but I haven't seen her baby for 5 months and so we've finally agreed to meet up at home LOL. I'm planning on walking home (probably 30-40 minute walk) so will get some exercise in as well.

Today I'm having:

B: Cappuccino shake
L: root veg and lentil curry
D: Salmon and veg stirfry
S: Plums, nairn's biscuit x 2, maybe a square of chocolate...

Have a great Sunday everyone! :D

Hi Alli,
Just skim reading your diary now have moved over. You sound like you're doing so well. Hope i can eventually do the same. Saw a few people are doing EA sports and feeling benefit, going to have to consider it as i'm just such a lazy trout and cannot get head into exercise. Is it good for cardio and toning? xx

Good Morning everyone!

I'm running a sick house :9529::sign0137: at the moment as well as trying to work from home so it's a bit mad. DS and I was up most of the night as he really isn't well. I'm not a good nurse and just wish DH could be at home today but his work schedule was worse than mine (or so he said ).

I stuck to my 1200 calories yesterday so that's good. I'm starving this morning though so will have some porridge in a minute. It's freezing so hopefully it will warm me up a bit.

Not sure what I'm eating today, but it will probably be something like:

B: Porridge
L: Butternut sq soup (have one lurking at the bottom of the fridge)
D: salmon and mash
S: Fruit, CD shake

Have a great day everyone!

Poor Alli... hope son is better soon, and you are OK. Take care, lots of nasty bugs around just now. Well done on the 1200... a few of us on this right now, Lelly too, & it does take some getting used to. I thought I was happy with it, tummy shrinking etc, but had a hungry day yesterday... hoping for a bit more discipline today! Big hugs, and snuggle up.

BLEURGGGGHHHH!! I found a A & C porridge at the back of my larder and thought I'd have that instead of normal porridge. I used to like to have them every so often when I did SS and was fed up with drinking shakes.

It's really vile! I tried to force it down but ended up throwing half of it out and making proper porridge. I can't believe I used to look forward to it!

Aw, good times, Alli, good times! I never liked the A&C one, tasted 'fake' to me even though I adore both apples & cinnamon. Our taste buds deffy change on CD, don't they?

Hey Ali.....
Aww big hugs hon hope everyone is feeling better soon..... there really is lots of horrid things going round at the moment I personally think its the change of weather that has done it to everyone.
Well done for having a good day yesterday and hope you have another good one today on 1200..

Sorry your son is feeling ill today, I hope he's soon better, do you think it was the 7 yoghurts?

A friend of mine has a vomit phobia and when one of her 4 children threw up she'd do anything to avoid dealing with it. When her husband came home he'd find upturned washing up bowls (kept for the purpose!) Dotted around the house, lovely treat at the end of a long day!!

YAY Bess - lovely to "see" you again! No, don't think it's the yoghurts. I was harsh Mummy last night and assumed he was just faking illness but he is clearly not well. He was sick during the night and I thought it might have been the smoothie I made for him at dinner time, but he is still poorly so I'm pretty certain it's a bug.

I'm soooooo bored!! Normally I enjoy a good book or some cr*p TV but I don't have the patience today. I want to go for a nice walk but Henry is asleep so can't be done. Also found my finger in the Nutella jar a minute ago - must try harder not to snack!

I might see if H is well enough to go to the shop later so I can get stuff to make mincemeat with. At least then I can do something productive while being at home. I guess there's always housework (although navel gazing sounds pretty exciting in comparison!).

Now I am feeling guilty... used to love making mincemeat... and own cards and prezzies and tree deccies. No time any more... sniff. I love Xmas but half the fun is being able to play and make stuff! Bah, humbug...

Definately, stuff the housework. Amazing what you find in Nutella jars, I should complain if I were you!
Glad H is sleeping, he'll probably feel much better when he wakes up; haven't you got a book on the go?
I shoould have gone to work but ahave decided to go tomorrow instead, more admin instead, only after you mentioned soup I seem to have got sidetracked and now there is chicken stock on the go in the kitchen. Shropshire blue and broccoli or smoked bacon and butternut squash. I know, I'll make both. Now about that admin.......
By the way, I've bored you rigid on my diary after your comment about the Rayburn, You'll never write another word now!! :D

OOhh me too, and now I've finished all that cooking for a living I can really look forward to this one. My last Farmer's Market used to be on Christmas Eve and I'd come back utterly wacked to start on our Christmas, so I'm really excited about this one. Party too, I can have a party....and stay awake!!

Hope son is better & you made 2,800 jars of mincemeat... hugs from London.
