Alli's 2011 "Head stuff" diet

Nightmare day at work - big part of our IT services wiped out causing all sorts of problems. Got no time for dinner as going out for a drink with friends so had to resort to my emergency pack of super noodles - haven't had one in years. I'm ashamed to admit that I quite enjoyed it - felt like a student again 
Have stuck to plan other than my appalling replacement for BNS risotto. Oh and had 2 mini eggs as well as missing out on one heb. This was not deliberate but was stuck in "war room" most of the day managing senior customer communications etc.
Anyway am in bar now with g&t in front of me and friends on their way! Looking forward to lots of girly chat.

Back home now nice and early - I'm too old for late nights
. Had a great time but am glad to be home! I did end up having an extra g&t as well as some nachos (4 of us sharing one portion). Not great but it could have been a whole lot worse. Back on plan 100% tomorrow and hoping the scales will be kind to me next week despite my slip.Night night!

Lovely sunny day here as well but I'm feeling ever so slightly grumpy at the moment. I got up nice and early to travel to Derby and the trains are b*ggered!
So, now I'm missing a meeting that I really need to be at and am stuck at home. Actually - once I have sorted out the fact that I'm not going to attend and made sure I can dial in to the meeting I'll probably be quite pleased to be at home. I just don't like it when things don't go to plan - it throws me a bit...also I hate letting people down but unfortunately today it can't be helped!
On the upside I lost 4lbs this week (weigh in this am). That's the 3lbs I put on last week + a bonus lb so I'm very happy with that. If I can just keep the 1lb per week going for the next 6 weeks or so all my summer clothes should fit me again.
Right - I'd better crack on with work now that I don't have the excuse of being on a train...will catch up on everyone's diaries later.

Thanks everyone! Conference call over and boy am I glad I didn't make it to Derby! It was one of those meetings where however hard I tried nothing I said was good news to the team up there. I won't bore you with the details but as part of my job I have to (re)set people's expectations and let them know that things can't be done by next week (try 3-6 months time) and yes it will cost money (a lot more than the few hundred quid you've estimated). They asked for my help and all I did was give them more challenges to overcome . Still I'd rather give them the truth than have them find out later down the line when lots of time and effort has gone in to it already.
Sooooo - now I have the afternoon free!! Well, not free exactly as I'm still working but I'm going to sit outside and work for a while if my Wifi will work in the garden (can't see why not) - we still have sun here in Kent so might as well enjoy it as it sounds as if it's not going to last very long...
