Anyone 20 stone or more and got a lot to lose?

Hi All,

I was wondering how many people on here are the bad side of 20st at present or have been 20st+ and have broke through that barrier..

I've only been on the SW plan (hate the word diet) for coming up to 3 weeks now. I started at 366lbs.. and have lost 7.5 lbs in my first two weeks and am hoping to drop a stone a month over the next 5-6 months aiming for around 3lb a week losses... 1 stone a month for 12 months would be great but i'm sure might be an impossible task...

i know this has the potential to slow down as the weight does start to come off, so i hope i don't start to get frustrated at that point.

This is my first week at SW, weighed in at 20s.2, long way to go, started on the wii fit aswell for the body magic, see what happens on thur,
Bosco you did really well in your first 3wks, I would like to lose a stone amonth aswell, but taking each 1/2 stone at a time.

Hi i was 20+ stone 3 years ago now been going slimming world for 11 weeks and lost 1 stone 4lbs there, i lost 3 stone on my own before sw. now i'm 16.2 but still feel like i've got a very long way to go, i want to be 10 stone so have another 6stone+ to lose.

Hi Bosco! Irish like me by any chance?! I'm in week 3 of SW. Started at 21st 11 1/2 lbs, have lost 11bs in the 3 weeks. I'm concentrating on mini goals, 1 stone per month, because if I try to imagine being 7-10 stone lighter at the moment, I just can't focus and it would seem too much, and the little losses along the way wouldn't be meaningful.

as you'll see from my stats i started at over 400lb. i'm a Sunday weigher and today made the 80lb mark :)

Hi all, I started slimming world 2 days ago. I'm currently 20st 4lbs so have a lot to lose but this is the first diet where I actually feel as if it's going to work! Not going to give up this time, really need to shift this weight! x

Hi, I started at 27st 9lb (387lb), Im currently 22st 7lb (315lb) so lost 72 lb so far. Want to get below 300lb by Xmas ie have lost at least 6 stone.

i'm well over a year in and it's become second nature. loses are slow now, but i still go out and enjoy myself accepting the repercussions of any bad choices but then just getting back on the band wagon with my next meal. it's a lifestyle, not a diet :0)

I've started my journey at over 24 stone in March 2009. Now I'm 9 stone 5.5 pounds lighter. 4 stone of that lost with SW since October 2010.

My weight topped at 21.08 and am now 19.04 - just 2 and a half months later.
I'm expecting to get in to the 18 stone zone on Monday when weighed...I don't even think about the journey a month at a time; I just focus on each week and keep chipping away. I just got to a point where I was so fed up with being fat and something seemed to click and stick. I think that a scary article about strokes helped too..I just didn't want a future with medical problems when I knew that I could prevent that by losing weight. Do keep going and never give up. You owe it to yourself.
I started at 23st 10lbs 2 weeks ago and have lost 7lbs so far. I try not to look too far down the line and think too much about what i have got to lose, every week will bring its rewards if i stick to the plan..which im finding really easy so thats a bonus. The energy i have gained in just 2 weeks is amazing...just goes to show you are what you eat..eat crap - feel crap.

I started at 24 st. Since Aug I have just put my head down and focused on each week. Some weeks have lost 3 or so pounds and some weeks 1 pound despite eating similar but just keep plodding on. I weighed in at 19 st 8lb last week just by chip chip, chipping away at it.
