Love that idea Mrs Moose!
I'm going to try and eat more protein and cut down my chocolate to a max of 3pp a day. See if that makes a difference. I'll try and exercise 5 days out of 7 too.
What's the shred like? I was tempted to buy it but I'm not the best at following exercise dvd's. Lack of coordination!

I actually downloaded it cause I'd be the same! And it's a good workout! I got up to day 3 and gave up lol hav to get it back out!

My change is going to be no alcohol at all this week It's def holding me back I have a glass of wine of an evening after the kids have gone to bed then I think a few wee water biscuits arent going to do much harm and then I think another wee half glass.....I'm using up my weeklies too early in the week so I don't hav any left for the weekend for nice food Probably also drinking too much - wouldn't dare count the units! Any suggestions for alternative ways to feel like you've had something for yourself at the end of the day? Don't suppose it has to be food or drink but it does need to be low effort and not time consuming! Maybe I should take to the ribena! or maybe slimline tonic with no gin? Or knitting??

Yeah it went a bit wrong for me last night too and I was just at home with a couple of friends who called in so it was lazy drinking really and just dumb So now today I've got the guilts and feel crap! So there you go I'm now going to lead a clean and wholesome life wearing a hair shirt and eating lentils while sipping my ribena

Or knitting??

Nothing wrong with being a knitter, its really trendy just now. I used to knit years ago when my children were pre-school but both my teenagers have asked me to knit jumpers for them.
I gave up knitting as I thought it was way too expensive versus shop bought but my 14 year old bought a knitted jumper in New Look couple of weeks ago for £15 and after only two wears it has a hole in it with bobbles all over it. It looks like she has had it for months.
I'm just about finished knitting a jumper for her that will be so much better quality (quality of wool, we'll see how I sew it up!) and it won't bobble so quick either.
Knitting is making a come back and it keeps your hands and mind busy every evening!

Mollydog I was only half-joking about the knitting! I started one of those scarves last year in the bobbly wool that does all the work of the fancy effect for you! I think I need to dig it out again.... my sisters a brilliant knitter I'm pretty rubbish but those scarves don't need any skill If I manage to replace wine with knitting I will be completely amazed!!!!

I get so cross with myself! I started the week brilliantly. Loads of exercise sticking to points and then the slippery slope began and I've wrecked my hard work Just hav to start again but this time NO MORE WINE! Muffled sobs...

I hear you all about the wine!
Think that may be part of the reason why i'm changing over as we do enjoy socialising and after a hard day I look forward to a glass of wine. My eldest has just started working in Tesco which is in the next town. She doesn't drive so between dropping off and picking up her and her sister who does hobbies 4 nights a week it's near 10pm til i'm home which is a bit late for a vino but WWing will allow a glass at the weekends.
When we get together with friends we all bring food for a pot luck supper so there is always yummy things and doing CD it is really hard to get through the night without people noticing my plate is empty.
Anyway, have you heard of the scarves on a loopa? You can make a really effective scarf in less than an hour with lovely wool. Your local wool shop should know what it is or google it.

This is not only going to sort my massive wine belly but also all my Christmas presents! I'll look into the loopa! I'm due to weigh tomorrow but hav decided to leave it until Tuesday because of all my bad behaviour. I feel too bloated. ww def will give you the freedom to eat more of what you want. I don't think I could stick to anything more restrictive for long. Trouble is ww tries to teach you moderation and control by letting you have anything so long as you point it. Moderation and control are not my strong points.......

We have a portion control issue in our house. Think WW is the way to go for me and my OH can be doing it too without realising! He has got a bit of a belly on him at the moment.
Nowadays, dinner plates are much bigger than they used to be so I (step too far?) threw ours out and replaced them with 2 £5 value sets from Asda which have a much smaller dinner plate. The trick now is to not cook so much or they will be heaped. My OH takes a meal to work every day so, when doing CD, my portion went in a plastic box for the next day. Now I will make the meal do 4 portions AND his work one.
I think having pudding helps too. My youngest asks every night for pudding and we rarely have one but if I do make pud then she is full up for longer too and not back looking for biscuits etc later on.

Oh well, I talk a good talk - lets see if I can get this put into practise!

I dug out the knitting! You know you really can't eat and knit at the same time! Who knew?? It might keep me from grazing all evening every evening I stayed under points today - and no wine We will see - though the end product isn't likely to be all that pretty I'm not much of a knitter! On the plus side despite all my bad behaviour I was able to wear a size 14 dress out last night I haven't worn a 14 for years so I was really pleased- kind of thinking the sizing must be wrong which gives an idea of how little faith I have that I can get smaller!

Mollydog I'm liking you throwing the plates out A fairly radical dieting strategy to chuck out all the crockery but I suppose I can't say much with my knitting needles clicking away! Lol!
