My daughter had a doctor's appointment today and said that he was asking about me and how I'm doing!

Well he's not going to find out just yet-I'm staying well away from him until I've lost even more weight-I'm sure he secretly thought I'd never do it. He's going to get a mega surprise when I do need to see him again!

well done! It's a great feeling. I always see different gp's so don't have a relationship with anyone in particular but it will be nice not to be forced on the scales when I go in for an ingrown toenail! LOL

Normally he's a bit of a misery and barely glances at you when you go to see him. I'll give him a reason to look up next time I have to go see him!:D

LOL rub his face in it! My doctor in Australia used to lecture me about my weight. I'm not joking, he must have been about 28 stone and had a pack of marlboro reds in his top pocket. I was like.. Pot, kettle, black!

Thats really good, it will give you more motivation. Just think how good you feel now about the prospect of showing him how much weight you have lost!

Yes definitely wait to give him a shock. I remember once going to my GP about some contraceptive pills and I was worried it would make me gain weight, her response was 'too much food+going into mouth (making a hand action) = weight gain'. She is on my vendetta list now.....!!!

You show him what you are made of!! :)

Well done Sparkles, you have done great.

:DThis made me laugh, I once went to the GP years ago and said I was finding it difficult to lose weight, looking back I must only have been about 9 stone :D:D, her answer to me was - its easy - stop eating!!! It is drummed into you that you must eat to slim or the body holds onto what you've got and there is a medical professional advising me to stop eating.

im sure doctors get bonuses for every patient of theirs that follows a diet plan recomended by the NHS and loses weight.

thats just my little conspiracy theory though!

Well i started the contraceptive pill a year ago and thats when my fat story began i put a stone on pretty much straight away and then next stone and half gradually climbed on probably my bad eating but whenever ive go on the pill ive ALWAYS put on weight and when ive came off ive always LOST weight, sucks because im in a long term relationship now and do not want to come off it as not ready for any babys just yet lol but i went to my GP and said look it makes me put on weight and makes my skin awful etc etc and she pretty much said " well what do you want me to do about it ? " and actually made me feel so stupid that i cried!!!!

So go see your GP and rub it in his face and show off your stunning slim figure :D:D im sure GP's just look down at you i think its something they all seem to do when it comes to weight issues

When you do go back, be prepared for the "you'll only put it all back on" argument - that's what I got from my GP while she was tutting over my form (which she clearly didn't want to sign). I really don't see why CD should be any different from any other diet in this respect - surely a dieter could "put it all back on" after any diet, not just this one?

Then after having spent ten minutes telling me that CD didn't really work and that she knew three people who had put all the weight back on (one a doctor, apparently), it then became apparent that she was talking about LighterLife and not even CD!

I too will be going back once I've had a bit of a workout on this flab - I need to show her! ;)

My doctor actively encouraged me to do Lighter Life. Every time I went there he used to offer to put me in touch with other patients who had lost weight through them. He couldn't sign my CD form quick enough-though I think he secretly doubted I could do it!
