Before you start a new thread.....

guilty, i'm afraid i did that before i sussed it out. i now make sure that i go to the appropriate section. i love this site but when your a newbie there's so much to take in. still finding my way round. loving all the effort that goes into this site. i have found it an inspiration and very helpful. i honestly can put some credit to my weight loss although not too much (yet) down to this site. so thanks to everyone involved for it.

It's a way of bumping a post back up to the top of the list to draw attention to it.

It stands for bring up my post.

Before you start a new thread PLEASE make sure youre in the right section. The main forum section is for general SW only related threads.

If you have a Syn query of any type... Syn value, whats free, whats not post it in the Syn sub forum

Syn Values - MiniMins.com - Weight Loss Support Forum

If you have a recipe youre looking for or have a recipe to share then post in the Recipe Section

Slimming World Recipes - MiniMins.com - Weight Loss Support Forum

If youre looking for any kind of Eating out tips or help theres the Eating out section

Slimming World - Eating Out - MiniMins.com - Weight Loss Support Forum

And for all things non SW related - The Off topic section

Slimming World Off Topic - MiniMins.com - Weight Loss Support Forum

PLEASE use the subforums, there are so many threads that need moved every day. The subforums were created at the request of people who use the SW section because the forum is so busy it was becoming hard to keep up.

And why not have a look to see if your question has been answered already, especially if its about Mugshots or Muller Yoghurt

I gather thats why somebody moved my thread....im still learning to use it.....sorry to of asked the same question before only looking for help and support!! that is why we are here isn't it? I don't think mocking peoples questions is the best way to put the correct use of this site across!

Nobody is mocking anyone Jess, only asking that people stop and think a bit before they hit that 'post' button. And it's not directed at any particular person as there have been a lot of posts recently that have needed to be moved, and as Starlight is the poor unfortunate person who has to do that (along with Irene), I think she is being perfectly reasonable in reminding everyone, not just newcomers, to the layout of the board.

When I'm new on a site I take some time acquainting myself with the etiquette of the board. And yes I might still make a boo-boo but it's fine for the other folk on the board to give me a nudge in the right direction.

There are questions that come up time and again, and it can be frustrating to see someone asking a question that you know was asked and answered recently. At the start of the year there were the same questions about mullerlights and mugshots at least once a day. There is a search facility on the board, and okay it's not the most user friendly, but a simple search will quite often bring up the answer a person is looking for. Nobody here minds lending a hand, offering support or answer questions but people also need to show some personal initiative in seeking out answers. :)

I agree, but I find some of the results irrelevent to what I am looking for sometimes.

:(

Then it's always fine to ask a question - Starlight is just asking that it is in the right place - remember the moderators keep this site as good as it is and it would be a lot more confusing if they didn't sort it out. :)

Whos mocking you?? Moving a thread to the correct section is not mocking anyones question its merely moved to the correct section and a links left for a while so you know where its gone.

The sub forums have all been created at the request of users of this section. If anything they make finding your way round easier

Just don't think its the best way to put across to newbies....I have asked questions about both theses.....its all new to everyone once and think we should take it into acount that all!
