Best start to New Year

Had MIL for lunch yesterday, and had a wonderful compliment off her (and believe me she doesn't do compliments, ever)......she said the lunch I cooked was the best meal she had had all Christmas and I was a fabulous cook......don't know if the drink I plied her with had anything to do with it, but I needed a stiff drink after she had said that lol.
