Hey, I just wanted to post a little introduction or something. I found this site online when I was looking for support forums for losing weight, finding it really hard to motivate myself without having other peoples stories and well general kind words to support me.

You all seem like a lovely bunch and I hope I can lose weight with the best of you!

uhhh on a side note I'm 5.5" and weight 216lbs wanting to go to 140 in 6 months is this a healthy rate to go? I want to lose slowly and steadily this time because I've lost weight before and put it all back on again years later! eep!

Hi there! That would be about 3lb a week average, have I got my sums right? That may be a little optimistic, but it depends how your metabolism is. I couldn't do it without starving dangerously as mine is quite slow.
