Hi everyone,

I'm low carbing and the one meal I have problems with is breakfast.

Apart from either skipping it completely or having a boiled egg I just don't know what to have. I'm very fussy when it comes to fruit, (i only like apples bananas and grapes). I've not had either bananas or grapes as I've read they're not brilliant when low carbing.

Any ideas...the thought of another boiled egg doesn't fill me with joy!

Any ideas appreciated.

Breakfasts

Hello there,
-what about trying low carb sausages; The Black Farmer premium pork sausages, 90% British pork, Gluten free, Low carbs, GM free, natural skins, available from Morrisons and Sainsbury's, not sure about Tesco. Have with tomatoes, mushrooms, egg or substitute sausages for low carb bacon.
-Frittatas-omelettes with some added plain yogurt made with onion, peppers, mushrooms, olives, cheese, whatever you fancy
-Low fat plainn yogurt with strawberries, apples, oranges

Hi Diadeb,

thanks for the suggestion. Due to religious reasons I do not eat pork. I might have a look around to see if there are any low carb vege sausages. I think I've seen halal Turkey bacon in one of the butchers as well so I might have a look at that.

Thanks again

Have a browse on the Low-carb megastore or Avidlite websites, there are a number of low-carb cereals available now that you might be able to fit into your diet. :)

I usually have yoghurt followed by grapes or nectarine. Ive also got some meal replacement choc bars from the Avidlite site, they're yum and ideal for breakfast on the move

The low carb megastore has cereals you can have with soya milk. I don't have breakfast or lunch as I substitute them for a shake. Good luck with your weightloss

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I've ordered some cereal from LowCarbmegastore.

Bought some Linda Mcartney vege sausages from Asda yesterday. They had a low carb content but tasted vile!

you can still have egg and veggie sausages. I'm about to have my chipolatas and egg with reduced sugar ketchup for brunch.
