Can you put on weight with AAMW?

Hiya

I am on Day 4 of AAM week and feel like I am putting on weight.I've sneaked on the scale and *think* I have put a lb on.I'm sticking to the exact amount of food I have been told to eat.

Is it normal to put weight on or just stay the same and will that mean a better weight loss the week after like your first week?

It is coming up to TTTM so maybe thats not helping

I felt the same, and I have only lost 2lbs this week, I know hat you are meant to loose the weight the following week. I also found that TOTM made me loose nowt for a week, and you may even gain due to water retention, but you would still burn off fat. May be an idea to pee on a ketosis stick. If your CDC don't have any, you can get them from the chemist x But well done for sticking with it!:)

Hello, you shouldnt put on weight on AAM week as you are still on a VLCD and on a really silly amount of calories a day.

If you think you are putting on weight its most likely to be water retention so try not to worry about it too much. Cant say the same for everyone, but personally, my losses have been best after AAMweeks as the little bit of food seems to have kickstarted my metabolism again.

Anyway, try not to worry, and keep doing everything by the book and you will be fine

I was wondering how much this affects you too - I have just completed AAM week - I get weighed tomorrow but peeked on the scales and looks like just a 1.5lb loss this week :( I hope it's different tomorrow, but do feel a bit gutted about this.

Dont worry about it, you have done great so far and remember that your aim is 14lbs per month so if you have exceeded that you are doing fab! 1.5 may not seem like a lot but at least its gone! And if you actually saw and held 1.5 of pure fat you would be delighted with your loss!

Thanks Kazz, I know, I know!! And I am sure that next week it will come back off - I have so far lost 2 stone 3lb in 4 weeks, so I shouldn't really be disappointed!! And it is totm!

I have heard from over people that the following week of AAM week is quite good anyway as the AAM kick starts your metabolism - fingers crossed

OMG, over 2 stone in 4 weeks hun?! Give yourself time to catch up!! You will be fine, anyway, your CDC scales could be different to yours!

Your loss in 4 weeks is fab so chill out and dont be worrying at all!! Dont let it demotivate it!
