My goals for the week ahead, starting Thursday (5th):

*Eat both healthy extras daily (or at least 2 out of 4 on R/G days)
*Introduce 1 new fruit and 1 new veg
*Try some cheese....
*Try cooking a minimum of 2 new dishes
*Stick to 15 syns per day

Felt really bloated after dinner this evening, despite forgoing the fizzies...I'm terrified of gaining this week. Haven't been overly bad, but I wasn't bad last week either, yet gained 2lbs. I'm not really liking my stats either:

June: -7lbs
July: -3.5lbs

Not good at all. *sigh*

Doc will not be happy. Not looking forward to the "I-told-you-to-get-gastric-bypass" talk.

Hi Christiana
Good idea setting yourself some goals - I'm sure if you stick to the plan, and keep below the 15syns you'll definately lose. I like your 'try 1 new fruit and veg' goal - that's a great way to introduce more Superfree into your meals.

Don't forget - you've still lost 10.5lbs which is a huge achievement!
And I'm sure your doc will appreciate that you're trying to do this yourself and he's got to realise that you need motivation from him, not an 'I told you so' attitude.

Good luck in starting your new goals this week x

Hey Sarah!

Well, you were right...doc was surprisingly happy with the 10.5lbs, but has asked me to continue taking the xenical for another couple of months. I'm not sure if that'll help or hinder.

Bad news is that I have the very painful beginnings of plantar fasciitis in my left foot. Doc has ordered no walking or weight bearing exercise until further notice :(

He suggested swimming, but I'm not sure I'm ready for that...And normally, I hate exercise, but I like walking. I found a local sports center that offers women-only swimming sessions two evenings a week...I might consider dropping by once I've got some suitable swimwear.

Glad to hear your doc was happy with your losses, but sorry to hear about your foot.

I know what you mean about swimming - but I find I'm ok as long as I go with someone. Have you got a friend you can go to the women's only sessions with - even just for the first couple? Will make you feel more at ease and less self conscious.
Swimming's amazing exercise - hope you manage to go along .

Well, I'm chuffed. Lost 7lbs, got my one stone shiny AND SOTW!

I picked pomegranate as my new fruit for the week...haven't tried it before, but it looks....interesting. Haven't picked a new veg yet, although, I did get cucumber and tinned chopped toms as part of my SOTW goodie bag, so might just beef up my existing veggies for the time being.

So, I'm down 1st 3.5lbs in total....
:D

wow well done hun that is a fantastic loss and soth woo hoo:D i bet your still smiling:).x

Wow well done!! You deserve it.
Congrats on winning SOTW, and starting to stick at your new goals.
I love pomegranate - it's really tasty just to eat on its own or to sprinkle in a salad

Thanks so much ladies, your support means the world! I am determined to move into the next stone bracket (7lbs away), onwards and downwards! :D

I chose my new veg - swede! Haven't had it in years, so it's kind of new!

OMG, I had to be out of the house at short notice today, so didn't actually have breakfast until 3pm! So so bad, and I really felt it when I got home, I was ready to chew off my own arm....but I'm proud that I did not succumb to temptation...If I get the munchies later I have free food prepared to snack on! Yay me!

Wow well done for resisting temptation after missing breakfast. I was the same yesterday, but succumbed to a pub lunch at 2pm instead of making something healthy (naughty naughty)
Hope you're having a good weekend - foods looking really good!

I'll sure you'll be fine Sarah. I think it's so easy to beat ourselves up for a little slip here and there - I think that's what I've started making peace with, that one day shouldn't ruin the whole week! Not so long ago, I'd let a bad day escalate into a bad month!

Had a bit of an off day as I was having my kitchen floor redone, so very limited access to my kitchen for a majority of the day. Stayed on track though! Anticipating tomorrow's WI, as it's the last one before my * week, so I'm hoping for one more big loss before then (on which I'll probably lose half a pound...hopefully more). 3.5lbs off would mean 1st 7lbs lost in total (yay!), but I'd love to lose at least 2lbs....I've been good this week, so I'm not worried....*crosses fingers*

Good luck for WI today!!
