I dont like MIM's:cry:

i tried again, 2nd time, and bleurgh!

they taste salty? i think its the flax i dont like.....eeewww i couldnt even swallow it and had to be rude and spit it out...:jelous:

why dont i like them, they would be perfect brekkie on the run!!!:sigh:

i used.....

less that 1/4 cup of flax, 1 egg, half tbs bicarb, half tsp sugar (have no splenda) small knob of butter,....mixed well and nuked!

looks like it should and slices well, just tasted rank lol

whats the diff between sugar and splenda then? im sure it tastes the same?

if so, then i just dont like mims lol :(

lol. im going to try and make oopsie rolls, i could have them with cheese on the way out the door in the morning, i dont need flax for that, im sure its the flax i dont like.

im not starving anyway so having no MIMs are not going to kill me lol

No wonder it tastes rank.... half a tablespoon of bicarb :sign0137: should be half a teaspoon of baking powder you nutter!!! :eek:;):D

Net Carbs: 4.2g

Food Item: Splenda, sweetener
Food Quantity: 1 tsp
Carbs: 0.5g
Dietary Fiber: 0g
Net Carbs: 0.5g

Big difference in carbs!!!

Try again I'm sure you'll notice the difference. Will post basic recipe for you. xx

Muffin in a Minute

allowed on Induction

Serving Size: 1

1/4 cup flax meal (8.09 total carbs, 7.6 fiber)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder (0.64 net carbs)
1 packet splenda packet (0.9 net carbs)
1 teaspoon cinnamon (1.84 total carbs, 1.2 fiber)
1 large egg (0.6 net carbs)
1 teaspoon butter

(total carbs is 12.07, fiber is 8.8; net carbs is 3.27)

Put the dry ingredients in a coffee mug.

Stir.

Then add the egg and the butter. Mix.

Microwave 1 minute (or more). Take out. slice, butter, eat

I feel the same way...have tried several methods to make them, I really don't like them. They taste nothing like a muffin or bread! Have decided to give them a miss and have a Rivita once a day, nearly 5carbs I know but prefer them.:)

LOL!!! I've not even attempted to make these yet so really have no place to laugh.... but god that made me literally laugh out loud!

I think there lies the problem...
