Hi,

I have some left over egg yolks, and after doing a search lots of people are suggesting making custard with them which I'm really excited about!

The only problem is I can't find a recipe or any with measurements for it.

It would be so grateful if one of you lovely lot could provide me with one! :)

Thank you.

Helen :)

To be honest, custard colour, taste and texture comes from egg yolk so I'm not sure it'd work with whites. I use mullerlight banana and custard flavour warmed up.

I am such a numpty! I meant to write egg yolks.

I'm liking the idea of the mullerlight though :) may give that a go I'd I can find one :)

Thank you!

Well this is my normal recipe for custard (a whopping 24 syns for a quarter of it!!):

275 ml double cream
3 egg yolks
1 tsp cornflour
1 tbsp caster sugar
2 drops vanilla extract

Blend egg, cornflour, vanilla and sugar.
Heat cream to boiling point.
Pour into egg mixture. Stir constantly.
Heat gently until thick.

I'm guessing that you could swap the sugar for sweetener and the cream for milk as a hexa and then the only syns would be the tsp cornflour which I believe is only 1 syn. It serves 4. Hope that helps!
