Dancing my way to slimsville! ;o)

    Hi all,

    I`ve lost probably about 8st or so over the last couple of yrs in various ways with breaks inbetween (wasn`t seriously tracking my weight before I was about 17+st, But I reckon I was pushing about 19+st :eek: :cry:). My last effort was Cambridge 810 then 1000 plan and I`ve lost 8lbs in the last month on it. I don`t think it was really worth the expense of 2 tetras a day as I didn`t feel they were really making a huge difference to my weight loss as my problem is more portion sizes and exercise as I generally eat "ok" and my head just wasn`t "in the zone" and I think it really needs to be to do that diet.

    When another minis friend (thanks MM!) told me about RC incorporating exercise into their classes I looked up the website and decided that it would be a good thing to try. This way, I get the best of both worlds as I still have the discipline of being weighed :eek: but also get to have a work out/dance class which I am HOPING will help me shift the last of my weight.

    I think I`m going to have a real shock when I get the portion control pots, As although I eat pretty healthily, I think I probably eat a lot more than I should :rolleyes::sigh:

    I have a deadline of ASAP, but June at the very latest as I have a hospital appt then as I am trying to get a TT on the NHS. I have already seen the plastic surgeons who have agreed that my tummy is totally mullered and no amount of exercise/diet will help it :( But as my BMI was 27 when I saw them, It was a no go from the start. I was denied funding from my PCT - I don`t know if this was generally or because my BMI wasn`t low enough but the Plastic surgeons and my GP are very supportive of an appeal. I can`t lodge my appeal until I am at a healthy weight and a BMI of 25 but ideally, I`d like to get that sorted before seeing them again in June.

    I`m really starting to panic now as I struggle to lose weight as I have an Underactive Thyroid and PCOS and as I`m getting closer to goal, It`s also making it harder to shift the last stubborn pounds :cry:

    I`m hoping that with the increased exercise, I will finally be able to reach my goal and forget dieting once and for all! It`s been a long two years!!

    My mini target is to lose 5lbs as that will mean that I am halfway :D and once I reach my target of 10st 10lbs, Ideally, I would like to eventually get to 10st. I`d definately like to get to about 10st 5lbs to allow for any "water gains" etc that might show at my hospital appt as we all know we seem to weigh heavy when we least want to and 10st 10lbs would mean ONLY JUST having a BMI of 25 and I don`t want anything to spoil my chances of an appeal.

    Wow, I do ramble on!! I`ll shut up now!! haha

    I`ve been taking Thyroxine since I was 17, Bloody long time ago :eek: lol

    My levels are never stable tho :rolleyes::sigh:

    I was told that they will only fund a TT for medical reasons and even then, You have to be an exception:rolleyes:

    My tummy is absolutely FUBAR for a few different reasons. I`ve had four children, Two major abdominal surgeries (one whilst being 16 weeks pregnant), Then major weightloss.

    My tummy is horrendous and just hangs and I get infection along my section scar but since last summer, I`ve also been getting an infection in my tummy button :( I`m guessing it`s from where my tummy just hangs? And because I have an extra hanging bit, My tummy button gets covered. Haha I sound such a skank :eek:

    I promise I`m not a skank or dirty or anything!!

    Because I`ve buggered my tummy so much, Even with losing loads more weight and exercising, It wouldn`t improve it, Hence the plastic surgeons being supportive of my appeal :D

    I AM pretty excited about starting the class. I lack motivation SO much, so I`m hoping having to go to a class will get my fat butt into gear lol I have a cross trainer, rowing machine and wobble machine here at home yet I still rarely use them :rolleyes: A friend has agreed to come to the classes with me, So I`m hoping that will spur me on :D

    I`m just worried like I said, That I won`t really lose anything :(
    I only have between 1000-1400 cals a day and am semi active yet it still look me 4 weeks to lose just 8lbs :(

    I just tried to work out my body fat percentage but am sure the calculator thing must be wrong as it said I`m obese and my % is 32.2???? :confused: How can that be when I`m only (ONLY!!) 10lbs off a healthy weight/BMI? :sigh:

    I just did my measurements -

    weight - 160lbs
    waist - 33inches
    wrist - 6inches
    hips - 38inches
    forearm - 11inches
    thigh - 21inches

    Oh the shame :eek:

    Which PCT do you come under? I`m under Surrey PCT xX

    How ruuude of minis for eating everything you`d written! Always the way :rolleyes:

    The lady running the class tonight did tell me that I need to eat more :sigh: But I`m worried that I won`t lose any weight as my body sucks :( I was mortified that she weighed me FOUR lbs heavier than I make myself :cry: But I don`t agree that I can be that heavy tbh :/ The scales at my work match my home scales and I trust them because they`re drs scales and never leave the room and the dr & nurse insist they`re accurate so I dunno what`s going on :sigh: Bizarrely, My CDC used to weigh me 4-5lbs heavier too, So I`m getting a bit suspicious as to whether ALL diet scales weigh heavy??

    Saying that, I was weighed with everything on tonight, Including my trainers?!?!??? So I`m accounting for the extra 4lbs being from those and my glasses :p Yes I even take my glasses off when I weigh haha

    I`ve made a second ticker to chart my (hopeful) progress from today so I have my official and unofficial trackers ;)

    This is my first time doing an RC class but I really enjoyed it :D I was stood like a lemon for half the time though as I have NO co-ordination and couldn`t get the moves right :rolleyes: so I`m a bit worried that I won`t be pushing myself enough to lose weight :( But the toning/stretching exercises :eek: Not sure I`ll be walking tomorrow hahaha

    My friend did come with me, But she found out today that she`s pregnant, So I`m not sure if she`ll keep it up tbh :confused:
