Hoho, been there, done that. Was dying for nachos :/
The only advice I can give u is, tough it out. The cravings do ease off after day 6-7 or so, u might still get hungry but at least u wont feel that particular cravings in general.
Or at least thats what I experienced anyway.
Good luck and remember, it'll all be worth it in the end :)

I'm on day 8 and today has been the first day for me that I am really really tempted to eat. Even checked out how many carbs are in eggs as that seems the best thing in the house to eat right now.

This afternoon was particularly tough. Went to a presentation and there was an exceptionally good buffet. Garlic bread wafted through the whole room during whole event. And then at the coffee break they had warm scones cream tea!! (One of the reasons I moved to Devon lol).

Haven't succumbed and am really really battling right this very moment. Sipping warm water, will have a quick bath and hope the 9pm movie distracts me. Even avoiding masterchef which is a fav programme of mine ...

    Arrrggghh!

Well to be honest I don't think that the hunger really EVER wears off if u know what I mean? Its just that the cravings for certain foods decrease and u just stop thinking about it.

Lipolisa I totally know how u feel, I have to attend presentations and occasionally have to present myself from every Monday to Wednesday, and the drug representatives who are hosting the meeting that we attend always have lovely sandwiches, or Indian food or stuff like that! OMG the smell and the sitting down at the presentation with all the food in front of my eyes are just pure torture.
This is coupled with friends who keep asking me out for indian food or kebabs or stuff like that! >_<
I've even stopped going to movies because of the fantastic nachos and hot melted cheese that they sell there :(
So there u go, its a long and arduous journey.
But at least we are not alone in this :)
Keep up the good work guys

In week 5 atm, and my food cravings are still there, but hunger isn't if you know what I mean? I really have a strange craving for chicken and cheese, but I don't feel hungry, you just gotta power through it!

I have that issue with work today...alot of meetings etc where food is always served and alot of working lunch's!!! This morning I had a meeting that we have every month and we allways have tea and toast (nicest toast ever) and It nearly killed me this morning...next week we have a staff meeting and that allways turns into a working lunch that will all be hard...don't know how I am going to do it!!

I had a good first few weeks (once I'd got past week 1) where I was ok, and very focussed and determined. However the past couple of weeks (wk 5/6) I've found it very very hard. I haven't slipped once, so the determination is still there, its just not quite as strong as it was.

I am not hungry, but I am bored. I rely too much on the motivation of weighing daily, and when the weight loss isn't there (which it isn't now as I am getting closer to goal) it tends to get me down. The answer to this, I know, is to stop bloo*y weighing daily ;)

I am craving certain foods, cheeeeeeeeeeeeeese main one. I have no idea why!!

I've sat through many many buffets at work..today was the latest one. I knew though that I'd managed to get through the others without eating, so today was no different (hard though!)

O don't be turned off.... as you can see by the forum loads of people succeed.....and I'm going to give this my best shot....
and work thing tomorrow as well where there will be coffee and scones and lunch after, I will leave before the lunch but the scones...but I will get through,
Thinking that if I get to first weigh in and have a good result that will provide the motivation!!

God can't help you am afraid, only sticking to the plan will do it.

If you want it enough you'll do it.

Summer will be here in no time and if you give you will regret not sticking with it as you will not enjoy the summer like you may have done had you stuck? if that makes sense :) stick with it :)
