Only disappointment was the opening song.........really didn't like that - nowhere as good as usual.........but Daniel Craig was great. He played it very much in the style of the book - really enjoyed it

I am enjoying my maintenence journey.

I have had today

Brekkie - LL raspberry milkshake pack
Dinner - lettuce & raw mushrooms with balsamic & a drink of LL savoury flavouring
Tea - lettuce with raw mushrooms, pepper, & tin off crab meat with some low fat marie rose sauce, followed by half muller light yog with sugar free jelly:) :)
Snack - LL fruit bar & 1 small skinny cappuchino (no choc sprinkles :) :)
Supper - LL Hot choc milkshake pack
 
Finally got the overseas cards sorted and will get Mr.D to post them off tomorrow...........fingers crossed they arrive in time

Obviously the holiday was a bit of a hiccough dietwise, but I already feel well and truly back on track - will work through the steps a few days at a time next week so that I'm completely back to 'normal' by Xmas. Fully intend to be ready and able to enjoy

Just wanted to say well done on shifting 10lb this week - what a brilliant and well deserved result!:D I am really impressed how you got straight back on track after enjoying your food on holiday (as it should be!) - was it hard to cut right back after having what you fancied on holiday?

I often pop onto your thread when I need a quick reminder how it can be done properly!:) You are such an inspiration as you maintain your weight really well combined with enjoying food on holiday - this is the "naturally slim person's" way of eating I would love to achieve. Is it getting easier the longer you maintain your weight and did you feel guilty for eating more on holiday or just enjoy and accept that there would be some cutting back to be done when you got back? Sorry for all the questions, you just seem to have got a really good balance sussed!

Still feeling pretty chuffed - the loss this week truly exceeded expectations.

Honestly no, I really didn't find it difficult, but I'm sure it was made much easier by having to return to work immediately - didn't give me time to think much about food !!!! Also, it did help doing 790 'cos it didn't feel like going back to square one but I knew it would work auickly. Having the half pint of milk with half a bar first thing in the morning really is filling and of course there's a nice dinner with pud to look forward to each evening.

Is it getting easier the longer you maintain your weight and did you feel guilty for eating more on holiday or just enjoy and accept that there would be some cutting back to be done when you got back?

Guess the answer is definitely yes, it has got easier the longer I maintain..........and no, I honestly didn't feel guilty for eating loads on holiday. In fairness we've never actually done an 'all inclusive' holiday before so I didn't anticipate quite such a big gain..........the constant supply of champagne definitely wasn't expected

Having said that, we'd been looking forward to the trip for ages and it certainly wasn't cheap so I figured it was really important to relax and thoroughly enjoy the whole experience.


Old habits die hard and I'll readily admit to having a couple of fleeting moments of doubt.........was I reverting to the 'old' me..........was my eating excessive and out of control but they only lasted a couple of seconds and I deliberately pushed them away 'cos I absolutely KNOW I now have the tools to cope, and hey, it really is true.........NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING SLIM FEELS

As you so rightly say it's vital to aim for the 'naturally slim person's' attitude to food. Xmas, birthdays, holidays, special ocassions are part of real life that don't bother most people, but those of us who've battled with weight problems for most of our lives know it's times like these that have always made us stumble in the past. It's that dreadful feeling of having failed that somehow gives us permission to compound things and throw in the towel. I don't EVER intend to fall into that trap again.

Spent a lovely evening wallowing in reality tv - XFactor and Strictly - love them both. Soooo pleased Leona won, very well deserved - she's going to be a huge star.

5 stone target reached ! Oh I love VLCD!!!!!

Just popped on to let you know how I went on this weeks weigh in.

It was third week on Managment & managed to lose (Wait for it) 4.4 lbs!!!!!!!!:eek: :eek: :eek:

It now means that I have now lost my 5 stone target and also I am now officially 11 st 13 lbs. Was so pleased & my Mum the sweetie had a bunch of flowers delivered to me to congratulate me. She really knows how much all this really means to me.

I still want to lose about another 7 lbs to crate that buffer that we so need at times.

I also want to tell you about something that happened to me on Friday night what made me buzz!! I was out on a xmas do on Friday at La Tasca in Manchester. Anyway during the eveneing I went to the loo & whilst I was in one of the cubicles the conversation in the queue outside was between 2 ladies about the size of the toilet cubicles which when I say were small this would be an understatement!!! When I came out of the cubicles I was faced with 2 larger ladies. My comment as I came out of the cubicle was You will have to breathe in. 1 ladies comment to me was

" Its alright for someone like you" In that I just replied "Been there done that and worn the t-shirt" I soo wanted to say you should have seen me 5 months ogo when I weighed 17 stone. It made my night.

I also treated myself to a new £38 bra which is lovely. The lady in the shop said to me when I asked to try on a matching pair of knickers what size 12 or a 14. I said more like a 16 in which she repiled no way because you are tiny!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I love VLCD more and more each day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
