Hubby has done lemon chicken in the slow cooker today, we'll see how sw friendly it is. Goes with cous cous, sounds yum. Seem to be falling into the sw mon-fri and whatever at the weekend!

How have you decided on a target? Everyone keeps telling me I should stop now, 3 stone is enough etc. I'd like to get to 10.5, so another 1.5 to go but I am actually quite happy with how I look right now. Wondering whether to just maintain or should I keep going and see what happens? I suppose 11st 13lb is still overweight?? BMI (on certain websites!) is within healthy range now. Wondered what your thoughts were??

The only reason I want to lose weight is to feel good about myself, so I would say stop when you're happy with yourself. If you're happy now then stop, but if you think you'd be happy with another half a stone or whatever, then go for it :) Obviously stop before you get too small though haha xx
 
Hi All

I am doing it myself to, have defo noticed a difference in my parners shape as i am cooking all the wonderful recipes on offer. Today we are having beef pie with light flaky pastry, green beans, cauliflower cheese (slimming world) recipe. Have made the sausage and bean casserole and would definately recommend it. I tried weightwatchers for a year but always found i was hungry, im not hungry ever on slimming world. So here goes to all us going it alone

Go as slim as you feel happy. Never mind BMIs and idea weights. In my opinion those stats are one glove fits all. Just do whatever weight you are comfortable with. Good luck.
 
Shitty day, need to stop over-thinking things.

Diet back on today, going for it. After a busy weekend working I had chocolate, wine and popcorn last night! Too cold to go running :-(

Feel so horrible and bloated ATM, been 4 weeks of bleeding now, going for a cervical exam thurs
:( really nervous. Not eating particularly badly def not anything to make me pile weight on but I look/feel like I've gained about an stone, stomach totally swelled up :( so so weird. Hope ur all having a nice Monday xx

Oh Charl that doesn't sound good hope everything is okay, have they no idea whats causing it...

Oh hun, that's rubbish. Hopefully you'll be able to get things sorted on Thursday. Try not to let it get you down too much.

I have felt horrible all week and went right off track drinking loads of cooktails on friday night and eating chocolate. When i weighed myself this monring, i acutally changed the battery in the scales as I couldn't believe my eyes, I've lost another 3lbs!

So things aren't always as bad as they seem

Not really, she just said if its nothing obvious I'll go have to have a load of scans. Great! Feeling pretty run down too, trying to juggle quite a lot and feeling the strain a bit. It's annoying as I went to the docs a few months ago as I was concerned and he just brushed me off so I'm going to be pretty annoyed if there's something wrong. Women dr's are so much better at this stuff!

Pah I have no idea why I'm still doing slimfast the weight is shifting slower that on SW I thought it would make a difference but it hasn't, I guess I'm feeling I should stick with it until I use the shakes up in another week or so.

2lb off this week but I did work hard for it, getting back into exercising despite my shoulder, did 45 minute Zumba session on the wii this morning, then I'm going to try and do some abs work (If anyone has got any good exercises for the stomach let me know). I might start running again tomorrow see if I can get motivated the alternate it with the zumba so I'm working out 5 days a week...

I'm new to Slimming World, I only started on 28/09/12, and I weigh at home on a Saturday. Can I join this thread please?
I want to get down to 10st 7lb in total but since that was 3.5stone away I've set myself a mini-target of getting to 12st by New Years Eve and then hopefully into the 10st region by my birthday which is mid March. Done well so far, lost 5lb on my first week and then 2.5lb last week, so a total of 7.5lb so far x
 
Hi! Welcome! Brilliant first losses well done :) I want to lose about another stone for xmas day (then probably gain as much back as I can in a few days! haha) well 1st 5lbs actually but once I get that last stone I'm not too sure. Good luck! Everyone is super helpful here, have you come across any nice recipies, we all like some inspiration! Do you keep a food diary? It really helps. xx
 
Hello ladies!!

Sorry to just barge in here but am desperately looking for a little friendly advice!....I am taking the plunge once again... (as of yesterday! have been calorie counting since January 2012 and lost just over 2 stone but following Slimming World for a short time in 2010).

I don't really have a lot of spare cash at the moment/ever so am going to attempt to do it from home but if I find that in a couple of weeks time that I am struggling, I may have to have a little rethink!!


I've laid out a little week’s meal plan (please see below) and a shopping list which I bought last night – would love any feedback re my choices….I've never done Extra Easy before so hoping I've got the jist of it?? Please please do feel free to point out any rookie mistakes that I may be making :) (please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)


I’ve not added many syns yet, obviously I’ll try to avoid most but realise I have to have some – will keep track of those as I go along :) rather annoyingly I missed my regular CC Saturday weigh in this week so am going to weigh in tomorrow and use that as my SW start weight :) wooohoooooo!!!! :)


WEEK 1 MEAL PLAN:


Monday (do my food shop Monday night's so bare with me!)

B – Oatbran (made with water, sweetener and lemon juice) (HexB????)

L – (on the run) Morrocon Chicken Couscous Salad from Tesco (couscous, Moroccan flavour marinated chicken, chargrilled vegetables, roast butternut squash, chickpeas, mixed leaves, dried apricot, jumbo raisins, lettuce and sweet chilli dressing) with 2 x McCain Jacket Potatos with 2 x Babybel light (HexA), sliced apple and grapes

D – Sticky diet-coke sausages (Eat Smart, less than 3% fat) with wholegrain rice and mixed vegetables (1/3 Superfree)

S – none….yet!!


Tuesday
B – 2 x sliced of wholemeal toast (HexB) topped with sliced tomato (1/3 Superfree) and egg “mayo” (fat-free fromage frais)
L – Tuna, wholewheat pasta in (1/3 Superfree) sauce made with peppers, onion, carrot, mushrooms and tomatoes with peas

D – Cottage pie with mixed vegetables (1/3 Superfree)

S – Babybel light x 3 (HexA), 150g fat-free natural yoghurt mixed with 1 x options Belgian hot choc (2 syns), apples and grapes, cooked chicken, tomato and herb mugshot


Wednesday
B – 2 x slices wholemeal toast (HexB) topped with sliced tomato (1/3 Superfree) and baked beans
L – Homemade mini bacon, leek and Babybel light (HexA) quiches with salad (lettuce, tomato, red onion, apple, celery and fat-free fromage frais – 1/3 Superfree)

Hi, thanks for the warm welcome :)
I'm loving Diet Coke Chicken, Sticky Chicken and the Lamb Rogan Josh recipies that are on the sw site but to be honest i think as long as you make meals from scratch you can make any dinner syn free or low syn.
I do keep a food diary, i plan all my meals for the week ahead too to make sure i eat properly. I let myself have saturdays off, well to an extent, because i dont want to be constantly thinking i cant have this i cant have that all the time. Its worked for me so far :) I'm going to zumba on a monday, swimming on a tues or wed and then gym on a thurs so i'm trying to increase my losses with exercise as well as a good diet. The lowest weight i've been is 12st 7lb in 2006 - cant remember being much lower before then, well apart from 10st in 2001 when i was 16! So i'm looking forward to reaching my 12st goal by 31/12/12 and being the lowest weight i've been in over 6 years - its such a good feeling! x
