Dreamers Exante Experiance...........

I am so pleased that I chose to do this diet!! I have always yo yoyed and it has caused so much sadness in my life. I just want to loose weight and keep it off. My main problem is that I feed for any occaision Whether it be happiness, sadness, stress, anxiety ect ect!! I need to take control of this.
Well at least I am now back in control of my weight. Sneaky peek on the scales this morning and I have already lost 4.5lbs!! Amazing just the kick I needed. Also pee stick showed that I was definately in Ketosis.
Another great incentive is that my hubby decided to do it with me! I was so worried about telling him on Monday but his reaction was so positive.......and when he said "order enough for me too!' Well my jaw almost hit the ground.
It has now turned into a competition.
My concern is the hair loss as when I did LL I lost loads of hair!!!!. I suppose that is the price that you have to pay.
This website is invaluable and the support you get is so needed. I couldn't do it without it.
Must dash kids to get up and get ready for school and work.
I look forward to following all your journeys and I will be here for anyone who needs words of encouragement and support.
I just had to share my feelings with you all!!

Well not only do you have the cutest picture on the forum but you are so refreshingly positive, thankyou, thankyou, thankyou !!!

I am gonna have a good day now

cheers

Yay well done you :D

I'm on the morning of day 3 as well, but I daren't step on the scales yet. I hope my loss is half as good as yours!

It must be great having your other half doing this with you. I live with my boyfriend (and lovely fluffy persian kitten) and he is one of those 'naturally thin' people. I was choking back my shake while he was nomming a lovely smelling curry. I've honestly gone so bonkers already I opened the jar of blackcurrant jam just to SMELL it :|

Right now I think the cat is eating better than me.

It is so nice to hear that people are feeling so good! I am amazed that I am not feeling hungry or craving food, this plan is amazing.
Xx

GLad you are all getting along so well. long may it continue.

Thank you for all your lovely comments!! I love my pic too!! He is our long awaited son........believe me!!...................We already have two daughters aged 11 and 8yrs. It took 7 years to fall pregnant with him!!
Anyway back to business!. Blorpy I would, If I was you, weigh yourself tomorrow morning as I think it is important to visually see the weight loss on your scales. It will really motivate you. After that just weigh in every Monday.
I am not looking forward to next week as TOTM. When I did LL I never lost more that 1 lb and even sometimes put on weight....but rest assured the following week there a good loss.
Hubby also weighed himself and has lost 4lbs. It is really turning into a competition.
Good luck everyone. You can not fail this diet you can only give up. Keep strong and positive. I think drinking 4 -5 litres a day is the key!! Try drinking sparkling water in the evenings from a champagne gllas!!!...lol....

Started off yesterday so positive but by the evening I felt so negative and thoughts of giving up were in my head. I really do go from one extreme to the other. I made the children a lovely roast dinner and the potatoes were shouting "eat me eat me" but I was strong and just had a large drink of water. Then, a little unexpectedly, I started my period which I was disappointed about. I again thought "just stop whilst your totm and start again next week". I was strong again and ignored my inner thoughts. I decided on having an early night.
This morning I have woke feeling positive again. Sneeky peek showed that I have lost 6 lbs in total since Monday and I am delighted with that result.
Hubby is suffering from pains in his stomach but is still sticking with it. He also has an upset tummy.
Hope you are all doing well. I will try and update later today.

6 pounds is amazing! Well done you for banishing those thoughts we all have. I watched 'Fat Families' last night and it was both aversion therapy and motivation for what I'm doing.

When I was on LL and also on Low Carb diets, my periods unfortunately went haywire - apparently this is something to do with oestrogen in fat, and getting rid of the fat making out bodies go loopy. Joy.

Glad your mood has gone back to positive again, we all get down sometimes and you just have to be strong and talk yourself round (or let us do it for you lol).
As for periods, I have never ever been as regular as I have been since I started with Exante, and the amount of discomfort I usually had the first two or three days is quite a bit reduced so I am very pleased with that side effect to it.

Thank you for your comments and support.

I know that this diet CAN WORK!! I just need to remain positive and think about being in size 12 jeans. I am so sick if the size 18's and 16's. Weekends are always sooo hard. Last night was sweety night in our house there was chocolate all over the place.........
confession time........I did have 4 large choc buttons and afterwards I felt terrible!! But I have to confess as there is no point in keeping it a secret. Today is a new day and I WILL not do that again.

Total great loss today is 7lbs!!

I have just looked at my old posts from 2006 when I did LL and this has given me extra incentive. My loss at the moment is the same as LL. That means by day 19 I could be 17lbs lighter from when I started. That would make me 11 stones 7lbs. OMG to be back in the 11's would be amazing! I have copied my old weight loss down and pinned it to the fridge. ( i know that I was heavier on LL so the loss may not be so great)

I am loving the shakes, soups and bars. Although I do find that when I have the bar I start to feel hungry and want to chew something. Must get some chewing gum!! I also think that I am drinking too much coffee. My water intake is good and I actually feel thirsty alot of the time. I am in love with sparkling water!!

I am not looking forward to half term simply because I will be constantly making food for the children. Hopefully I will be completely in the zone by then. I am however looking forward to no school/no work and spending lots of quality time to together. That is the joy of term time working.
Hubby is doing well he has lost 5lbs so far!
I hope that you are all doing well. It's reassuring to know that you are not on your own and that you are all out there doing the same, thinking the same ect!!!
Lots of slimming luck to you all....Thindom is just round the corner!!

your body stores hormones in fat so when you lose that fat all those hormones come flooding out

WTF??? Sorry to hijack your thread dreamer but I had to comment on that. What a load of old tosh.

Hormones are released into your body by the various glands (largely controlled by the hypothalamus but also including the pituitary and thyroid) and their production and release is affected by the amount of fat, glycogen and insulin in the blood that is "feeding" these glands. A different balance of these substances to what your body is used to can lead to different levels of hormones being released, hence why some women have better/worse periods, some lose hair etc etc.

"Stored in fat"? I've never heard anything so ridiculous in my life!

And breathe...........

Back on track, well done you, 7lbs is a great start. Take it a day at a time and you will be fine. :)

I think chewing gum is a no, no cos it is full of carbohydrate, even the no sugar ones. Anyway, if chewing is the problem , wouldn't that make it worse ?.I think producing saliva makes me hungry ! It may help if you train yourself to really slow down with the bar, take small bites, eat slowly and have a hot drink with it to give your brain time to register it has eaten and your fuel supply has been replenished. If not then you could try swapping the bars for soups or shakes perhaps.Customer services will do it for you.

Have you thought about maybe changing "sweetie night" to something else night ! fruit, film , games, swimming or something more healthy.Yes of course having sweets once a week isn't the end of the world, but it does still set up the idea that sugar and junk food is a treat, instead of healthy food and healthy eating being the best way as if you are just doing what you should do during the week just cos it's right, and then you have one night off really enjoying yourself. It sounds a bit puritannical maybe, but having that night, it's obviously making it a bit difficult for you, and your kids wouldn't miss it if they didn't expect it. Especially as you and your old man are both dieting. Just a thought. Love reading your posts, good luck.

couldnt have said that better myself lol

re. the hormone quote!

um excuse me i am only going by what i have been told by an infertility specialist!!!!! Sorry for breathing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

are you a doctor???? I came to this forum for help and support from fellow dieters, i did not come here to be ridiculed or shouted down, you could have chosen a less aggressive way of putting your point across, I think I'll have to find somewhere else to go and get support, thanks

Hi Mush, I truly welcome all opinions and value them. Please do not let this prevent you from posting as all your advice and support is appreciated. Knowledge is power and it is up to the individual to take from it whatever they wish. Good luck with all your weight losses.
When I used this site in 2006 everyone was so kind and supportive. For some reason everyone is now up for an argument!!!!!..............

Good advise but understand why Mush was offended, it is not what you said but the way you chose to say it Yambabe.

Good luck with your weight loss this week
