I know that many swear by Dukan but, rather like Atkins in the old days, due to lack of understanding, this very strict way of low-carb, low-fat eating has prompted a lot of criticism. Dukan himself famously lost a recent court case (he sued a French nutritionist for so-called libel, and lost) and had to pay damages and costs.
