Eating under points

Hi this is the end of my 19th week on ww I am a scales hopper sadly but I have lost every week until Monday where I gained 2.5lbs ? I have stuck to ww 100% exercised since week 4 started zumba 2 weeks ago.
I'm confused I know we should eat all our daily points saving 4 if we need but using them up before the week ends , I understand starvation mode, also if we don't have all our points when we get lower we won't have many if we lower them to quickly.

So

Why us it a couple if the weeks whn I've had under my points I've had higher losses ? This week I've had near on all my points every day and where I've always weighed daily I can see how I lose and not really losing again?
I've exercised I've upped water I've changed foods?
I seriously think I've a vv slow metabolisum that I have to eat little to lose any weight, years if yoyo dieting? When u did cambridge I never had big losses also lighterlife I was the person who was one if the less losers on that snd I do plans 100%

I know my losses are ok but I'm worried ww won't work anymore and I've 5 stone to go and like the plan

Just a thought could all the exercise be toning all your body and increasing your muscle tissue as its heavier than wobbly stuff:)

Thanks :) yes it could but I really don't do loads Tuesday Thurs Frid Sat I do 30 mins fast walk interval training on the treadmill and 30 mins wii just dance fast ones Monday zumba, I'm not active all day so ?
My calf muscles are hard when tensed and walking but most if me us wobbly lol

An getting worried weightloss is stopping?

aw hun, it could be something so little like portion sizes, re check how many points per day u should have ect, im sure u would have already done all this tho. dont give up, uv done so well, to have no gains until now is superb!! it could be your body re adjusting and getting ready for the next 5 stone. also, if uv done the same exercise for some time, change it as your body gets used to it and see's it as your usual activity rather than exercise. my partner is a postman and he does miles of walking everyday but he cant count that as exercise as its part of his every day life so he has to do other exercise on top of this.

i hope it all sorts itself out hun, im sure it will xxx

I think this is the most probably cause. I know you do a lot of exercise and i've always said to you be careful.

I would cut back on the exercise a tiny bit and see how it goes for a few weeks.

Hi thanx I have just added zumba 2 weeks ago so have changed my exercise?Also I did no exercise before I started ww and its only been 15 weeks of me exercising treadmill then wii just dance in the last 10 weeks so I think its not the exercise as its not been very long?
I am extra careful with plan weigh measure everything I honestly think its 22 years of yoyoing and I may contact someone to see what I can do to get the weight off.

Do you think I do alot? I thought I was doing the proper amount to lose weight then at maintance cut it down to 5x30min sessions? I think I will have Sat & Sund off starting next week and see what happens? Thanks alot hope your ok too xx

It is interesting that even when really not eating at all hardly, picking at kids leftovers, and running 10k almost every day, I plateaued at around middle of healthy BMI. Not that I was unhappy with that, but what I was eating I feel I should ahve been seriously underweight!

I wouldn't cut back on the exercise. It's good for you in the long term and exercise speeds up your metabolism, so if you do have a slow one this could be a long term fix.

I was also going to suggest an up day/down day plan, but you say you've already tried this.

There are specific foods that help speed up weight loss (or are good for raising your metabolic rate) maybe you could incorporate some of these in your diet?

I have spoken to my zumba instructor and shes a nutrisionlist (cant spell)and she checked my food plan she told me off for not drinking enough and I shouldnt have any processed foods,the exercise shes a personal; trainer too a tiny size 8 has lost 2.5 st on ww she said the exercise isnt too much its enough but I need to add weights and resistance work.
So I will get a one card for leisure centre and do gym weights and drink more but I do think its yoyoing vlcd like cambridge,I feel if you stopped eating your bodys in stravation mode ,have to eaten properly since marrige probelms and starting ww?MAybe you need to to kick start your body?Also the same exercise isnt enough if you do the same as said here already your body thinks its whats normal so its not burning off any extra so you need to do more a fidderent exercise to burn fat.
I will come back to you if I find anything else out hun xx

Hiya thyanks alot for this really appreciate it :eek: I do like the exercise I was a big fat couch spud before and it has helped me, exercise is making me feel happier as have had depression.I think I will in 2 weeks when I have some pennies get the leisure card and do weights,though it will be 1/2 term lol,your right I just need to stick it out accept Im not going to do this quickly and really see that Im strong as it is taking me longer and I continue to do this even with little losses........I know losing weight fast doesnt teach us long term changes but mentally losing 2-3lbs some weeks its a ummmph of yey to continue lol

Sadly i think the body gets use to how your behaving, at first it went into shock suddenly cutting back down on food and increasing exercise ... now it seems your body is use to what you put it through, probably need something to shock it into gear again... but this normally happens just by itself after a week or two tbh! I think everybody gets it i certainly did, when i was in the 13s i felt i'd never see the 12! so stubborn, seemed like the body didn't want to lose anymore... then all of a sudden it dropped... and then i hit the 12s... now it's happening again, my body doesnt really want me to see those 11s! lmao it's just your body winding you up getting you feeling down to wham bang shock you by dropping again and you moving on with losing more weight i wouldn't worry too much about it tbh, everything you've done so far has seen you lose weight, it's just because it's your first gain it hits home hard, but you will soon move on from this and will be losing once again just takes a lil time to budge a certain bit of fat at times :) xxx

Dont you just hate that when the scales tease us with the old numbers that we desperately wanted a few weeks back but we now want to kick up the harase lol
Your right Im sure my body knows what we are doing so I will continue for a little while and hope it does let the fat go ? :)

Im liking my scales. I know it could all change by monday, but IF it doesnt change, and in fact I lose a bit more (got a few days left) I think you might be joining me on CC seriously lol x x

Ooooh i didn't know if to do CC for a week to see if this helped me, but then i got into thinking well how the hell do i know whats the right amount of cals i should be eating etc lmao, what do you stick too? i know it's got to be less than 2000 ofc, but others say it's ok to go below 1000 but others say you need at least 1000cals lmao so confusing :D

If you take week 1 off it was 29 lbs in 16 weeks which is good but slow considering the exercise I do, but I do worry with ww as I looked up the cals in a chicken chowmein and it's 700 ww say it's 7.5? It's roughly 60-70 cals a point plus we can eat 80 cals if free veg a day that's why um worried ATM.
I love ww and it works but we know the online points thingy is pants and packaging on some products give us the pointage but if we work it out it's different in some foods ?
I know it's best to lose 1-2 lbs a week I'm just having a wobble ATM and have to stick this out and a gain has been hard to figure why when I hadn't gained in 17 weeks exercised 6 hours and dropped a point as I went into the 14's.xx
