Oh dear, I have gone over my points again today - this is not a good week! I will definitely have to get back on track on Thursday!

Jen, you are right that its best to write everything down, thank you for reminding me - I too have gone down the 'I'll just leave it for today' route and it's so counterproductive. Yesterday I genuinely lost track and it just went down hill!! It's strange, until this week i have been fairly good at sticking to the points and yet I feel enormous! Am not getting on the scales yet as this will seriously de-motivate me and I may be tempted to just stuff myself over Christmas. I think I am just plain greedy!:sigh:

I have been so rubbish at writing down what I have eaten over the past few days that I have decided to temporarily give up on the diary - until 29th December when I am back at work after the Christmas break. Hopefully I will be back with renewed vigour!

I shall still try and keep within my points but am more concerned that I don't gain over Christmas - I don't really expect to lose anything!

Hopefully I am back on track! Am going to aim for 5lb off by the end of January - this is probably only what I have gained over Christmas though!

(Way over but was my dads birthday and we all went out for a meal, which we don't do very often. Will have to learn to plan better for these types of things as I am sure I could have stayed within my points)

I was just lookin at The eat out guide and was really surprised at some of the veg values at Toby Carvery. Have you got a guide? I'll post the values incase you haven't. But I think Toby Carvery is a great option for WW as you can choose whatever you like!

Turkey (1 slice) = 1
Gammon (1 slice) = 1.5
Beef (1 slice) = 3
Large Yorky Pud = 2
Small Yorky Pud = 1
Stuffin balls = 1.5

Vegetables are per spoonful:
Broccoli = 1
Cabbage = 0.5
Caremelised onions in gravy = 1
Carrots = 0.5
Cauliflower cheese = 0.5 (wow that's quite low!)
Leeks = 0.5
Mash Potato = 1.5
New Potatoes = 1
Peas =1.5
Roast Potatoes = 2.5
Roasted Parsnips = 2.5

Peaches & Cream Cheesecake =6.5
(the cheesecake isn't too bad is it? And if you only had a small bit the points would of been much lower!)

Thank you so much for your kind comments and for posting the values for the Toby Cavery - I hadn't thought to look them up properly, I was relying on guess work! It seems I underestimated some and overestimated others so hopefully it should even itself out! I love the Toby Carvery, we have a lovely one just up the road.
I don't officially weigh in as i don't attend a class. When I converted back to Weight Watchers, at the beginning of December, I decided not to weigh in for one month - the reason being that I am always a very slow loser and i easily lose motivation when I read other people lose 3-4 lb in their first week - I usually STS or lose 1lb. So, I thought if i gave it a month I would see a bigger loss and it would keep me motivated! This would have worked if Christmas had been cancelled! So really, I guess I am starting again now January is here and have committed to losing 5lb by the end of Jan in the 'January Challenge.' Once I have got January out of the way and hopefully show a loss, I will weigh in once a week - not sure which day but probably Wednesday. I hope your flu clears up soon and that you are feeling much better. Thanks for reading my diary and for the information.
