Last night my man went for his weigh in. Before he went i wanted him to bring me some chicken home, i was in such a state. He came home empty handed and sat beside me and said i did not bring you home any chicken because i know you would feel guilty and you would not be able to eat it. I was so angry and upset with him! I did not have my last 2 food packs because i was so upset! Anyway he lost a further 6lb making that 2st loss in 3 weeks! I cried and said i am not seeing any loss for me , why cant it be me! I was the one so desperate to lose weight and my clothes are not hanging off me, im still the fat ugly person. Anyway i tried eating my bar but felt too sick to eat it and went to bed! This morning i was thinking how silly i was last night and that if he had brought the chicken home i would not be able to eat it because i would feel so bad. I think because my man is 100% dedicated to it, which i did not think he would(surprised me) i would have given in and i really do appreciate him being stern with me! He is at work all day, and i work from home, i could easily nip to shop and buy food but i dont! So that tells me one thing i am stronger than i think. I always fail in everything i do, life, work, relationships, being a parent, i think i will fail at this. But obviously im not ready to sink to the bottom yet, otherwise i would have cheated by now!

I really really am impressed with all you people who have stuck to LL for soo long. I know from the bottom of my heart i will do this whether i lose 1lb.

I think i felt like this because one of my husband customers wife is on LL and apparently she cheats she has a meal every evening with her husband but here is the big BUT...she only loses 1lb a week.
I probably felt to do the same because of my 1lb loss last week.

Think its understable you were a bit upset about difference in losses hun, however, it will sort itself out and you'll lose your stone a month if you stick with it. Well done to OH for saying no to you with the chicken and for his weightloss. As for the other lady who has a meal every night, not sure I'd want to pay £66 per week to sabotage it every night and lose 1lb.

Like you say your stronger than you think, keep building on that.

Lynn, this is not a 'quick fix' diet, you need to look at your reasons for wanting to eat and what makes you want to eat. Have you read through your green handbook and done some of the exercises, it doesnt' matter if you jump a bit ahead of what week you are in, as long as you understand the principles behind it.

We all have our personal demons and failure in life, this is why we are on LL, cos we have failed at 'conventional' diets. This is a radical life change and it needs a lot of focus and a lot of questions and answers and hopefully we will then be able to look at our relationship to food and why we 'use' it the way that we do in our lives.

You CAN do this Lynn, it DOES work. Be happy for your husband, men loose it a lot quicker than women. He is being strong for both of you.

u will get through it, hes a man and the weight will come of quicker for him. as long as ur sticking to it 100% u cant not loose!!! eat all 4 packs a day, up ur water as much u can, and keep going hunni.
ur choosing to do this for u, and ull be soooo disappointed if u give in now xxx

i only had my first meeting on monday, as she moved the group. I did stay for group, but noone spoke to me! I didnt like it. Had no book tho

So your first week you were only given the packs and nothing else?

Has your hubby not got a book? (I don't know what they give the men).

Have a look at the post about thoughts diary, see if that helps, go get a copy of Lighter Life Magazine (they are really good)

You say you stayed for group but no one talked to you -what was stopping you talking to them? You are all in the same situation.

hi hun stay strong ,you will get better losses .This is not an easy diet but once you have been on it for a while it does get easier .

I think you maybe ask your hubby to bring you food so you wont have to blame yourself when you fail.I do things like this all the time ,I have done my vlcd and now calorie count but last night I got my hubby to order take out as he wanted it (but it was me who first sugested it )now I can blame him for having to cut back for a few days .

Stay strong and thank your hubby for been strong for you too ,keep going for a bit longer it does get easier and the results are amazing ,you are stronger than you think and you have great support here and at home xx

I was given the food packs and the lighterlife magazine on my first week.

I think my hubby does have one.Ill have to look.

Also because i was new in the group, they spoke amongst there selves and di not really acknowledge i was there. But there is new people starting next week. So might feel better. I was thinking maybe not being funny but i was the smallest there, maybe they did not like it as i dont have as much as them to lose. Probably just me being silly i dont have much confidence either so dont help. Ill see how it goes on monday.

Is the book called directions. He has a few, directions, challenge, process, connect, foundation. But think they are for men, chris said he wont be usinig them i can have them.

My llc has had alot on her mind probably as her mum just recently passed away. So she probably not realised. I will chat to her on monday about it, i will explain im having a hard time on this and would like a diary.

the green one we use is foundation. i got this in my 3rd week cause my llc was in hosp for 2nd so wasnt a full meeting with everyone.
has anyone else in the group got one?
