Exercise Challenge - inc. Insanity!

Thanks for the replies about Shred. Does anyone know how often you should do it? Is it daily or several times a week?
I did a hard 4 mile cross country walk today with the buggy...and 2.5stone boy! Very hard going. Also did another Shred level 1 workout.

Everyday for the 30 days!! :D! I suppose you can take breaks if you like. I didn't break on my first round but now I break whenever I feel like it! :)

I've been a bit quiet on here recently, but I've been going to the gym lots and have a new addiction to spinning classes!!! I went to three last week, and signed up for three again next week. I'm also squeezing in regular sessions at the gym. (I got bored of doing Insanity!)

Hope everyone else has a sweaty great day!xx

Oh hello young lady!!! Good to hear you are going strong with exercise. How is the weight stabilising?? :)

I did a Shred level 2 followed by a level 1 the other evening...small boy was ill all day so didn't go to Nursery which meant I missed my run.
Level 1 last night.
35mins run this morning and probably Level 1 Shred again tonight.

Wow, it's a long time since I posted on this thread! I've been really good, though: 30 mins exercise bike then weights 3 times a week, at least 2 pilates classes a week plus one to 2 30-minute sessions on the treadmill. I have miles more stamina and as for strength, pilates is amazing! Don't waste time getting your arms and legs stronger, if your core is strong everything else can cope!

I feel well and truly up for skiing this Christmas now. I thought I wouldn't be able to, because of the blood-thinning drugs I'm on, but they're being so slow to kick in that I think my blood will still be normal thickness next week.

One fly in the ointment: the gym I joined in September has been sold to a budget chain from the end of the year - the price is better but they don't offer classes. Moreover they are not expected to re-open till March. So when I get back from holiday and need to kick-start my food and exercise programme I shan't have a gym to go to. Oh woe is me, I might have to invest in one of these dvd's some of you are using - any recommendations? xx

Time to bump this baby up!!!
New Gillian DVD has arrived and I'm starting today!!
Time to fight that Xmas flab!!!
Who else is with me!!!
Beccccckkkkkkkyyyyyyyyy???????????

Not yet Laura, haven't finished yet!! Try Next week Monday I mean the 7th! :D. By then I will need to join you big time. :D

Unashamedly bumping this! So who completed the pre-Christmas challenge, then? I'm damn sure I did and what a difference it made! Not so much as a stiff muscle when I skied for a week over the festive period! A big pat on the back for anyone else who stayed the course.

I'm all set for a new year challenge, once the children are back at school. It won't be so easy, as my gym shut on new year's eve, but I'm determined to get back into the groove. Who's with me??

I'm back to the gym as of Friday just gone and with my colleague, i have devised a plan for going ahead.
My aim is to get my body fat percentage down to approx 24% by Easter which is something I can measure through dukan and exercise. I will be checking my current % tomorrow and will update but I think I'm looking at a 10% loss.
Anyone interested in joining me?
I've used this table as my guide:

Ok so I checked this morning and my body fat is at 34.2%...so going for a 10% drop. It'll up for it P? 10% less? Think how fun it could be :-/

Kirsty

have had a 6 week break from the gym. Did 30 mins cross trainer yesterday. 30 mins cross trainer & 30 mins treadmill today. why is it that once you take a break from the gym, the next time you go , you feel so unfit. So unfair!!!!!!!!!

Did a Power Hoop class today, fab workout but ****** i feel like ive been beaten with a stick!!
