Extrememly happy!

Another thing to take into consideration is that your subject area of interest might change - had I gone straight on I would most likely have gone for a specialised degree in Classics as that was my main area of interest in the Humanities, but I've found in the interval that I'm now much more interested in doing something in psychology. Wouldn't have imagined that two years ago. :)

I think the best thing I could do was to look at the Publishing industry, and see what kind of qualifications they require. If the degree I wanted to do won't be of any help, then it could end up being just a very expensive thing to do to keep me occupied, rather than actually helping!

Ooh, are you planning on going back to Uni then, and doing psychology? xxxx

I'm looking at possibly starting again in February next year, all depends on finances - my first degree was funded totally by the OU because I earn less than £14000 a year, but for a second degree I would have to pay for it myself.

I'm thinking I might go for a Diploma first, to help me get onto a psychology degree course. Would be financially more manageable, and ease me back into studying without the full-on pressure of a degree.

congratulations 2:1 is excellent achievement :) I am lucky in doing my degree in Psychology I have found a root I want to go, it only happened in the second year. I was scared in case I got a 2:2 but luckily the masters I know the course leader and she is also going to be my thrid yr dissertation supervisor. Also the area was Occupational Psychology though some modules that I currently am doing in my degree I am not really good at. I have got good greats in Occupational Psychology Module so that helps, plus tons of experience means that you don't necessarily need a 2:1 or above to get on to a masters course :)
