    Hello!
I've copied this from my introductions post to save writing out again!
I started Exante yesterday and lost 3lbs overnight it seems, definitely in ketosis already. Currently on vanilla and chocolate shakes while I wait for a few parcels to arrive!
    ...

New here and just starting out on Exante. I am currently 22st 6lbs which is the heaviest I've ever been. Two and a half years ago I got down to 15st and absolutely loved it. When my daughter was born she was found to be allergic to dairy and soya. As I was breast feeding her, I had to completely limit both of these from my diet. It is virtually impossible to find snacks that are free of both and I soon got fed up of smart price bourbons. When out and about, pretty much the only things to eat were plain crisps and chips, so I pretty much didn't bother. I started losing weight without particularly trying and once I realised I had lost two stone, I started eating around a thousand calories with soups, salads and portion control, using myfitnesspal. I also did lots of exercise in the form of carrying my heifer of a baby in a sling while pulling my older daughter in a wagon.

Once she outgrew the dairy and soya allergies, I realised I could eat dairy milk and salt&vinegar crisps and takeaways again, I didn't stop eating and gained quickly and here I am. I also had a crazy diet coke addiction. I stopped drinking it and aspartame wherever possible ten days ago and have been drinking tea and water. It's a bit meh and I'm missing bubbles.

So yesterday I started exante. Years ago I had some success with the Atkins diet and found I got into ketosis very quickly and true to form I could taste it by dinner time yesterday. This morning I swear it tasted like a dog had died in my mouth, but that's a good thing!

My goal is to at least get back down to a size 16, so that I can get back into the gorgeous size 16 Phase 8 skirts I had. I also have a very nice Monsoon dress that I never quite managed - more of a size 14 I think.

I want to stop the hideous back ache and heartburn, which more or less went away and is now back with a vengeance. I want to stop looking like a huge amorphous blob again and would like to reconvene with my chin!
    ...

I knit a lot and spin, but think I need to spin more as the pedalling must use up more calories!

Day one and two were both fine - I am awaiting some different shakes, bars and meals to try as currently just having chocolate aandrois vanilla shakes. Have managed to get them nice and smooth now, so that's good!
I'm a daily weigher, I'm afraid, but I'm happy to report a 6lb loss so far! Still very much in ketosis.
Tonight might be a bit awkward as my mother is staying over and she (thin person) doesn't approve. I am making them Chinese chicken curry with egg fried rice. Am trying to convince myself about how horrid they are. They are the grimmest foods in the entire world, yes?!

Well done on 6lbs lost. I'm afraid you will meet people who disapprove (normally the ones who have never had a weight problem) but they should be proud that you are taking control and doing something about it. Chinese na never touch it awful food (I wish I could say that without dribbling) lol

    Thornhill Cate 50+ and fabulous

I honestly don't like Chinese curries and egg fried rice is OK but not in my top 30 by any stretch of the imagination. Singapore chow mein - now that would be another story!! Stay strong.

Got my days mixed up - mother is coming tomorrow so had a reprieve! Dh is out for a curry with work, so been quite an easy day. Great British bake off was perhaps not the best thing to watch though!
I tried a mango/passion fruit shake. Could hardly taste either flavour and it wasn't l that great with ketone-breath. Luckily I only had one of those!
White choc and raspberry to try in the morning.

Welcome and good work on the loss so far! Now I quite like cooking for people, even if I'm not eating, but in the beginning it was quite a struggle. I often find myself eating vicariously through the other half - 'mmm, whatcha having for dinner?' 'oh, just a stir fry', 'ooh, that sounds nice. . . what veggies you having' and so on . . . . .

I'm with heatwave - people will always judge, but you do what works for you stay strong!

Well done Carla on another pound off, I must admit the bars are the only thing that keeps me going. I can't stand the meals or breakfasts the shakes are ok but the bars mmmm. Choc and orange are lovely and filling and the double choc tastes like having a chocolate brownie especially when I warm it in the microwave. Enjoy!

I tried a maple pancake today and was quite pleased with the texture. The maple was a bit strong for me so will have to try the blueberry ones I think.

Another 2lbs this morning - 9 in total! I've tried the toffee and the chocolate bars now and couldn't bring myself to eat either. Now I have a really manky taste in my mouth. Eww. Gonna try spag Bol tonight. Fingers crossed!

I noticed from your stats that you lost 3 pounds on food week. How did you do it?

Urgh to the bars and not keen on the spag Bol either. Flavour was ok but I just can't bring myself to eat mush! Think I will try and swap for some pancakes! On the upside I think I now have pretty much all the shake flavours to sample. My cupboards are full!
