Forensics?

Hi everyone,

Bit of a strange one, but is anyone here interested in forensic science? I'm a third year forensic science and anthropology student and I love it. I specialise in forensic genetics, forensic anthropology/taphonomy, forensic medicine and forensic entomology with experience in crime scene investigation and I would love someone to talk about it with as its a big part of my life!

Looking to continue further and do an MSc in Forensic genetics and human identification and would eventually love a career in mass disaster victim identification.

So just wondered if any of you lovely people found it interesting? Or watched any of the shows on the tv (CSI, NCIS etc)

Hope to hear from someone :D

Interested? Yes. But I'm a writer, so I might start picking your brain on blood splatter analysis :D

MWUHAHAHAH!

Edited to add: I don't watch shows like CSI, because quite often the science in them is total bobbins. And Crime Scene Investigators aren't police officers! They don't go around questioning witnesses and solving crimes! *foams at the mouth*

Haahah. Sorry. The other half was a police officer, and he can't watch police dramas without starting to foam slightly too :D

Haha I hate them too, unfortunately they are so unrealistic

*crime scene investigator walks into crime scene, in tiny dress, high heels and long hair flowing beautifully, goes straight to evidence, performs most ridiculous but visually appealing test... swans out. Takes it back to lab and analyses it themselves..... then goes to arrest the suspect, question the suspect AND present the evidence for prosecution and defence... amazing what they can do!

I just thought it would be a well known ground to talk about :p

What kind of writing do you do? Myself and my OH are massive readers! Feel free to pick my brain, we are both forensic students and his current assignment is on blood spatter!

Glad to have heard from you! Hope to speak soon!

Haaaa, fantastic! *Prepares the brain-picker!*

I write horror, fantasy, scifi as fiction, but do plenty of non-fiction stuff - sometimes for magazines, sometimes websites, sometimes for a day job, boo!
