I apologise in advance for the rant

i am officially out of control

advice greatly received

I re-started Cambridge last week
however I have found that whilst I am getting through the daytime relatively easily(unlike previously) i am coming home and binging ... on things i wouldnt normally look twice at

i don't really have somebody i can talk to as no one really knows quite how much my weight is bothering me and indeed how much weight i want to lose

my problem is i have got such a busy social life
any solutions? currently i have a weekend away this weekend, plus 2 separate weeks holidays in the next few months
but the thought of not improving myself is just too much

i am so in a rut

do i try to eat but carefully
please help i am so miserable

xx::cry:

Hi.. being that it's my first diet day I am going to give some advice here that I really should take myself lol...

With any habit, including overeating or eating the wrong things the best thing you can do is to replace it with another habit. So for example, us, as dieters, should probably put something in place of eating whether it be exercise or reading a few pages of a really good book or whatever we enjoy. At first it's not going to be easy but hopefully in time the new habit will overtake the longing for the old one i.e. eating things we shouldn't. Hope it improves for you.

As for the busy social life that is a great thing and I suppose in that situation all we can do is just pick food/drinks that minimise the damage of being lucky enough to have lots of friends around us : )

NJBELLE, good luck with your weight loss journey..if your doing cd may be try a higher plan 810, which let you eat a bit more and help with your social life.
As you lose weight you will feel better..just take one day at a time...be kind to yourself..weight is only part of you.
What I have done is keep a diary about how miserable I am now and thats pushing me forward..I know its hard but stay strong and think how much better you will feel soon.
Good luck x

No point in being furious with yourself as that won't help you. The great thing is you've recognised your habbit and now you can do something about it. Remember to tell yourself that you are CHOOSING to do CD you're not forcing yourself.

We've all gone through those really tough times on CD and then other times are are easier. What about going for a short walk as its light in the evenings or pampering yourself (the 2nd sounds nicer to me lol).... buy some face wash and creams....so when you want to eat instead go take your makeup off and do a face mask or scrub (or body scrub etc).....have a shower/ bath and brush your teeth. call friends and have a chat....anything to smash the habbit....you CAN do this hun.

Don't punish yourself......... pat yourself on the back instead and know that this time is your time.

Go easy on yourself.......and remember it's not forever

hugs x
