Getting a grip

So should be UD today but trying for a DD ish.

Yesterday's calories came in at 790 and the exercise was 450.

This morning I've been to 1hr circuits and 1hr spinning. MFP is putting that at 1008 cals but I'm not sure how accurate that is.

Going to try to fast during the day and eat something later on tonight.

WI... I've been thinking about that... My OH is home for 2 weeks and I don't want to spend that precious time obsessing over food. So: I'm going to be as sensible as I can, try to have DDs when i can, plus exercise as much as I can. The point of this approach is so that I don't gain weight. I want to try to STS when he leaves. So I'm going to weigh when leaves. My last weight was 11 st 10 1/2, so that's what I'd like to be because historically when OH is home I put on 9-14lbs! So a STS would be magic :) X

Like you say, if you normally put on up to a stone, then a sts is quite an achievement and i think learning new things and new tactics is all part of the process.
We need to know how to stop gaining weight so fast as well as losing it so very sensible i think to try and go for a sts..... Good luck and i cant wait to see how you get on :)

Good luck TH. Good choices like last night will see you achieve that. Must feel so good to be at a comfortable weight & where you can enjoy yourself with OH without all the guilt that eating brings. x
 
Good girl hitting the gym, very proud of you - I think your head is in the right place and you should be able to be around the same when hubby goes back -- enjoy your day and I'll see you tomorrow x
 
So we ended up having a barbecue which was nice. I managed to not eat until then :)

I had two minted lamb burgers, one normal and one sausage with salad. I didn't have any bread cis I thought it wasn't worth 140 cals per bun. I had salad with it, olives and beetroot instead!

My total was about 800 cals all in. Again not DD and not UD. In between them :) x

Avoided the bread like a real trooper...

Then I ate a crunchie and a mint aero. One would've been enough but the old me is never far away!

My calorie intake was 1200 ish which is still not too bad I suppose :) x
 
DD today but will be aiming for about 800 cals incase we eat out. I'll try 500 if I can.

So plan is to fast until we eat dinner tonight, whatever that may be!

OH is coming to the gym with me this morning which will be great :) I'm meeting Katie this afternoon for a walk. OH is going shopping so I found a good excuse to duck out of that!

Fingers crossed that I manage a fast today because we are going to Wales tomorrow for 3 days (wedding anniversary is on Thursday) and I won't be able to DD on Wednesday.

I won't be going to a gym either so going to have to find inventive ways to burn calories! I used to run every morning when we stayed there because it's so beautiful. Hips won't allow for that kind of impact this time.

There's part of me that wants to take my running stuff but Physio says no running until Oct. I do very short treadmill runs (1m) when I'm desperate, but I don't tell her that. Don't want to go backwards but don't know if I will be itching to get out there before breakfast each day. Then I could eat more!!! The hotel that we are staying in is about 1m out of town and it's on a gradual hill. There's a lovely wee 4m run into town through the countryside, along canal and over the river. Very tempted. It's too long time wise for a walk. Maybe run the easy terrain and walk the uphill and uneven bits. If we were going somewhere else then I wouldn't be as tempted!

I know how frustrating it is to not be able to run hon, but I would listen to your physio - you want to recover fully as otherwise you might just delay your recovery or worse!

Can you take your bike with you. Will be a nice ride by the sounds of it x
 
the canal bit wouldn't be suitable for bike because it's too uneven for a road bike. Worse case scenario: ill walk it!

Ahh there's your problem you see - mountain bikes all the way ;)
 
So today has been a DD after all!

Had a salad with two chicken drumsticks. MFP reckons about 300 cals. Not had anything else and don't feel that hungry so not going to eat for the sake of it!

Exercise has been good. Did 8 mike walk with Katie so guessing about 600 cals there maybe? In the gym I did about 450 cals in machines then did weights. So, about 1050 cals spent!

Wales tomorrow. Excited! Be cream teas every day!
