Extra Easy Going away on business, epic fail

Had to travel to Luton with work last night for a meeting this morning. Ended up going to a SW meeting down here, and lost 4.5 pounds this week ! Yay!

However, I am on my own and had to find somewhere to eat last night. I meant to go in this carvers place ended up in an all you can eat world buffet place, and had 4 plates, with chips!

Having breakfast in hotel, and there's so excuse because there is fruit and cereals but ended up having full English and it'll be fried!

Feel pretty disgusted witg myself, and guilty! Net I gain next week!

Anyone have any tips for how to avoid temptation and stay on plan when going away to a strange town for business meetings?

Thx

Donk know, but I would be interested to know too. Hubby on S W and he goes away a lot. Losses fine when at home, but as soon as the travelling starts he goes backwards. :(

Just stay 100% for the rest of the week to minimise any damage.

If i was away travelling i would do some research ahead too see what sw friendly places i could eat at near to where i was staying, i would probably also pack some free foods and low syn things, such as Mugshots to stop you ordering room service when you get peckish, and they have little fridges don't they what you could keep chopped fruits and yoghurts in.

Try not to beat yourself up, it's done now. Good luck for the rest of the week and well done on a fantastic loss :)

I Often have to go away for work & it can be very tough. For me, the worst bit is the socialising. I don't tend to like a lot of my colleagues (I work in sales & generally sales people aren't very nice) so getting drunk is often the only way to combat the mind numbing boredom associated with an evening spent with people who gauge their value on how big their house is, what car they drive & how much they spent on their watch.

We also ha e a lot of team nights out where it's a set menu.

The things I do to try & combat it are
1) take Hifi or alpen lights. Use them as my heb. My entire company think I'm wheat & dairy intolerant as I always put it on my meal preferences. It stops you getting a meal with Cheese or milk or butter in it. And stops anything in breadcrumbs too.
2) mugshots in pots - eat one before you go for dinner. You'll eat less when out.
3) if you don't have to go through an airport, take a. Stash of fruit & carrots in a bag with you. Munch them whenever you can.
4) stay away from bread when it's put on the table - ask them to take it away if you're on your own.
5) don't be afraid to ask for substitutes. I had a 3 course set meal the other night when in a hotel. I subbed at least 1 thing on each course.
