gutted!!! does sw work for everyone???

had my 3rd wi on tuesday night and had a gain of 0.5lb, ive been 100% and had my syns counted exactly and a mix of red, green and e easy!! i feel really disheartened by this, i dont know how it could have happened!!
does sw work for everyone ?? or does it sometimes just not suit some folk!!

In my opinion slimming world will work for everyone :) Some people will probably disagree but I think if you follow the plan then it will work. Try not to worry about that little gain. I gained in my third week at slimming world also. I put it down to nothing in particular other than a random unexpected gain which I think most people will agree happens from time to time. After losing so much in the first 2 weeks I didnt really mind. Look how well you have done! 5.5 pounds in 3 weeks, you should be really pleased with yourself!

You are doing really well so keep going and im sure you will have a loss next week :)

do you have a period coming up? usually that affects most people. i've also heard that it continues to affect women even after their periods have stopped, not sure of the truth in that...

did you drink enough water this week? water really helps! also did you weigh your hexs? some people get into a habit of thinking 'oh this feels about right' but then realise they're having 60g of cheese rather than 28g!

my first week on sw presented me with a lovely 0.5lb gain and i was so gutted. i got off track pretty much straight away and i didn't have anyone pushing me to get back on. after i joined minimins, i haven't gone off plan a single time with the exception of when i have been away - i have pulled back syns though, and sts both weeks :) (seriously, in the space of 3 days a few weeks ago, i had 108 syns while i was in london! came back, got straight on plan, stayed as close to 5 syns a day as possible and was pleased with my sts)

ALSO - try having some scan bran every day, it really helps ;)

I know it's frustrating hun, but sometimes our bodies just don't cooperate in terms of weight loss. If you look at your weight loss so far, you've lost 5.5lb in 3 weeks, which is nearly 2lb a week! You should be pleased with yourself hun :) xx

it can also be a case of finding the right plan for your body. Some people can't manage a lot of meat, some can't manage a lot of pasta etc. Stick with it cos it'll work out in the end and as everyone has said you've lost that fab 5.5lbs in 3 weeks which is great

Thanks guys for your replies. 10st 10 , i have really bad periods and they last for an average of 10-14 days and i was on day 7 of a period on tues so maybe that had something to do with it!!
I was wondering if ive done some sort of damage to my body with all the silly diets ive done in the past!!! ive tried every one under the sun!!
Im also wondering if ill ever get under the 13 stone mark...every time i get close i end up gaining and i dont know why??
Im not giving in though i want to be at goal(or well on the way to goal) by xmas !! I keep thinking that the only diet that will work for e is the likes of cd or lighter life but i just do not want to do those again as i know the weight goes straight back on and its not a way to live!!

Highlighted in red are all the weeks where I had a diassapointing loss, or even a gain where I didn't know where it came from. I've started to accept that my weight loss seems to be in a good week/bad week cycle and that's just the way it is. As long as it is going down though, that's what counts. I don't really have a problem with 'star week' (SW code for when you are having your period :p) because the pill I am on stops that nonsense, but it can be a big issue for some people.
