Here goes my aunt has asked me to run a half marathon with her in Ireland 3rd july. I've mentioned it to a few friends and gonna run it too. They are all good runners, I'm not, they could run it tomorrow, I can't and I'm abit competitive.

    About me 33
    In April 2008 I was 21st 9
    In May 2009 I was 20st 8
In november 2009 I was 16st 6 (lost 4 stone with the help of a PT)
    Today 13feb I'm 17st 9 (2 months of heavy drinking)

I'm back with a personal trainer once a week, to help push in my weight training and keep tabs on me (if I've booked a session I won't be going on a bender the night before).

short term goal: eat clean, get different cardio in whilst not overdoing in and getting injured, enter a few running events along the way.

long term goals: Finish half marathon in under 2hrs, be under 15st by the event, enter a few races before and enjoy it.

next race: I would like to enter a 5mile fun run on the 7th march

Got a keep my nights out on the beer to a minimum, but still got to have fun so I've booked some nights off.
    27Feb drinks with school friends
20th March Arsenal v West ham
    10th April Grand National
24th April Arsenal v Man City
22-23rd May rugby sevens/champion league final.
so thats five nights off til the race and don't wanna be adding anymore.

todays exercise: 30 mins jogging treadmill speed 8kph gradient 2.0
    weight training with pt:

Plan for next: 2 weights sessions, get loads different cardio in, running, swimming and maybe one of the classes at the gym, that I've been to scared to join.

Time to stop talking and start doing!

    Will update next week
    tony
