having a really hard time

I cant stick to my points for some reason I always get to the evening and then blow it and say I will start tomorrow. I really dont know why I cant seem to do it. Is it possible that i am overdoing it with trying to be healthy and therefore I have an all or nothing mindset? All my friends are skinny and they never eat pasta or bread and they say you shouldnt have carbs after 5 pm and all that and perhaps this is making it more difficult for me...

Ignore them, and stick to the ww plan, you can eat any time of the day as long as you have the points. I bet you assume you have blown it by eating in the eve then just throw the towel in. Accept its fine, save over a few points for the eve and enjoy something yum.

Is there a limit of carbs you can eat though? As I was on atkins i dont really like meat anymore so I tend to eat things like sandwiches, pasta, baked potato and this is too carby I think...

There are no limits on ww thats the beauty of the plan. As long as you stay within your points limits anything goes. Obviously too much junk food isnt following a healthy plan but no reason why you should cut down on the carbs if they are what you like. Healthy long term plans are balanced and cover all food groups.

I would keep a couple a points back each evening to use then you dont have to blow your day

Eat what you feel happiest with. If you want carbs have them. As for not having them after 1700 that's just nonsense.

Maybe try tweaking your points during the day so you gave some for the evening. I know earlier in the week you were talking about saving some every day to have a treat at the weekend. If you're struggling I'd suggest just working on your full allowance and don't save any

yes, this forum really helps keep you focussed. I know it's hard for some people as they're in work etc... but the more you can visit minimins the better..in my opinion and experience.

I hope you're feeling more upbeat and rearing to go with ww. xxx

Don't worry, you sound exactly like me!

Try and plan your food for tomorrow tonight and so on. This way you can change your plans loads of times the night before until you are happy. Then you will have the day set out and have enough points left for the evening :)

The beauty of ww is you can tweak it to suit yourself. I often eat very little points during the day so I can eat more in the eve. May not be ideal, but certainly hasn't harmed my loss. Good luck xxx

Now this lady knows what she's talking about!! I do the same, I find that I can eat less during the day when I'm alone and then family time I can have a nice dinner and treat later on :D xxx

I wouldn't sleep if I didn't eat after 5pm lol!! I eat my tea around 6:30-7 ish just so I can last out the night:8855:

Stick to your points, things like cous cous, the small pasta gives you more for your points :D
