Hazysummer's will not be fat at forty diary

Hi Clare, feel free to drop by any time!

I'm enjoying this SW lark - I did take April off, and put back a lot of the weight I had lost, but normally shift 3-4lbs a month, slow and steady is fine by me when I can eat such nommy stuff, just miss the wine though!

I try and put links on when I've made something online (mostly so I can find the recipes again!)

off to bed now, but will try and find your diary tomorrow

really enjoyed the tuna mayo sandwich - I've been fancying one for days now...

The beef stew yesterday turned out really well, I cooked it the day before, so was able to skim off a bit of congealed fat - even though the meat looked really lean. I dry browned the meat chucked in 1/2 a tin chopped toms, a large glass of red wine, - cooked it down a bit, added 10 button onions, an oxo cube, 2 bay leaves, salt and pepper and some water - and let it bubble for couple of hours. When I reheated it, I poured the gravy in first, and reduced it a bit before adding the meat back to warm.

Hello! I really like your diary and i like that you mix the days up. I'm trying a week of red days (usually do EE) so it's nice to have some ideas!! Also i love the idea of those mini lemon cheesecakes!! shall def be trying those!! Yum Yum!! x

thanks rattymum - I think I probably have better losses on red or green, but I find its easier to eat "normally" on EE, so tend to have more EE than the others...but am planning a few red days too, as OH is away, and I won't feel bad about not giving him carbs with dinner!
