Help had a bad day

    I was doing really well yesterday and even had salad instead of chips at lunch and then last night I got told a close friend has a huge liver tumour and they dont know if its benign but not looking good. His wife came to my flat and we basically drank and ate everything in sight!
    So now Im over by 31syns and Im only on day 3 :cry:
    What do I do? Do I claw them back over the next few days or just write it off and start again with my 5-15 allowance?

    My Consultant tells us to start with 105/140 whatever your allowance is and work down.... if you do it this way you will still be on plan.... just have to save a few each day and maybe have some superfree foods... I hope all goes well, I would have done the same in your situation (without keeping it so low). Thinking of you.

    I agree. It was really exceptional circumstances and occasionally things will be sent along the way to try us.

    I think if you attempt to have no syns all week to claw something back, you will be more likely to fall off the wagon Draw a big line under it, if it is something that could potentially happen again try and do some advance planning to help next time (get some free nibbles and keep them in the cupboard/freezer) and just carry on as normal for the rest of the week.

    Hey hunny, clearly ur still motivated. Id say limit yourself to 5-7 syns a day and eat lots of fresh fruit and veg.. think this is the best way to go about it..

    So sorry that you had some distressing news.

    First of all don't panic.....just forget yesterday now, it happened, we have all been there at some time or other.

    So, draw a line now and carry on, just reduce your syns a little over the next few days before WI, eat plenty of free foods and drink lots of water, and you will find that you will be alright come WI day.
