# help needed to work out your target heart rate when exercising

i have just gone and got a heart rate monitor... and it can be linked to the treadmil here at work.
i did a heart sync workout tonight and it asked for my target heart rate...

so how do i work out what that should be?
is there a zone i should be in to burn fat???

oh im confused

Hmm, there are various calculations and formulae. The one deemed most accurate is HRmax = 205.8 − (0.685 × age). Target heart rate should be 65 - 85% of HRmax.

Took this from Jane Fonda. Try this.

This should give you a rough answer for 75% max heart rate in BPM. For losing weight you should be looking at between 70% and 85%.
