Nin, what plan do you follow?
i'm finding red a better plan this time round, and using my hexs and syns for carby stuff.....i just dont lose on green, and its sooooo slow on EE

I have been doing it for three weeks now. Lost 4 1/2 week 1 then half last week and Nowt tonight. I've done mostly green days. I'm going to break it up with some red days this week to see if that does anything. I also came on yesterday. Would that have anything to do with it? X

Hello hope I'm not too late as would like some slimming buddies too lol (Oooo Oooo pick me pick me!!!)
I go to group which is great but the days in between I need someone whose got my back so to speak. I've got a mixture of some friends being really supportive and others going "what you doing SW for you don't need to loose weight!" which I suppose in a way is a compliment but it feels a bit back handed and I feel I have to keep justifying myself then!

Anyway I'm not always such a misery guts and hopefully I'll be able to cheer people up too :)

yup, your * week can have a big impact hun.
think its a good idea to mix up your days a bit too.... you should be on track for a decent loss next week then.

do you do a food diary? mines very boring, but it really does keep me on track . its sooooo easy to "forget" something when you dont write it all down lol
 
I'm hoping that's what it is lol. I'm going to be really strict for the next two weeks. I can't make wi next week as I'm going away but the week after should show a good loss fingers crossed! X

Breakfast,1 fat free yogurt

Dinner,chicken (1 breast )and Bacon stir fry with soya sauce.

Tea,chicken breast with salad

Hxa milk and cheese weighed
Hxb 2 dark rye ryvita and 1/2 slice

Syns 7.5(snack a jacks)

Star week definately has an impact on weight loss. When I used to go before I could easily put on a couple of lbs but I dont have that anymore so we shall see. Yes it is so difficult if you have been good and see others getting great losses and they say, well I went for a curry and had a bottle of wine, didnt expect to lose let alone 2 lbs etc.Keep on going , you will get there.I am doing mainly red days, with perhaps a couple of green a week. Cant do EE, too many veg involved (just dont ask)!!!!! Good luck everyone next week

Hi,

I've been doing SW for about 5 weeks. My first thought on looking at at your food diary is that you're not eating enough. Especially not enough super free food, even if you're not doing EE it's a good plan to have lots of superfree fruit and veg. Try some frozen (defrosted berries) with your yogurt for breakfast, have some fruit as a snack, or some chopped veggies. I'd also say you need more syns, aim for at least 10 a day or 70 a week.

I'm a bit of a grazer, i pretty much eat constantly. As an example this is what i've had today.

Apple, banana
Frozen fruit and yogurt
2 yellow plums
Cherry tomatoes, cucumber, celery, carrots,
Egg salad (2 eggs, salt, pepper, paprika, 2tbsp extra low fat mayo) 1 syn
5 scan bran (HExB)
3 babybel light
1 grapefruit
Small punnet grapes
Handful blueberries
More celery and carrots
DINNER:
2 red onions, 2 red peppers, 1 large courgette, bundle asparagus, chicken breast (diced), reggae reggae sauce (3 syns), rice noodles. (just to clarify i ate all this myself).
Plan to have some lychees, grapes and berries later and some chocolate at some point will be about 5 syns.

My syns are lower today as i've been saving a few a day all week so i can have a bottle of wine tomorrow.

I could eat for England. Lol.
 
I could easily get through your menu too. I was hungry tonight and was really tempted to do another stir fry but thought my oh would think I'm a greedy pig so am now in bed hungry. I do agree tho I need to bulk out my meals even more with ss veg/salad. There's only so much I can get on a budget lol especially as my daughter is now costing me an extra £10 a week on school dinners. Forgot to add to my list syn free trifle that I made xx

hi girls, ive been reading through your thread and if theres room for a little one (hahaha) i'm your gal.
ive done sw for years after each baby, and lost well. but this time i met an new man and we gorged on food as we were so happy. now not so happy because we have gained 2 stone each .

so, i dont go to group as i am ok on the rules except i cant get to grips with EE. therefore i stick to red and green. i have mostly red days because i find i dont lose so well with green and feel bloated alot.
anyway, i have loads of tips and recipes i'd be glad to share with you.

you've all done great in your first few weeks and 'nin' - please dont give up, you didnt lose but hey, you didnt gain it all either. come on, you can do it. and if you have your period then you will naturally retain water and weigh differently to other weeks.

i looked at your list of food and you are definitely not eating enough, you need to make your body burn the calories so need to increase it abit.

if i can offer some tips-
keep an eye on the thread 'whats for tea tonight' i know purplesky does already but its very good for ideas and recipes.

take a look at mrs wilsoncrofts pages 'diary of a ickle hippo' which then gives you links to her facebook pages which are called 'food porn one & two' they are photos of all her meals and have the recipes too.

i have a really comprehensive list of syn values so if youre stuck and need help please give me a shout i'd love to help.

i need support too and it does get lonely if youre not going to class. BUT doesnt mean you cant have the same losses.

Hi ladies sorry for just butting in, been lurking and having a read as I can't sleep urggh.will suffer tomorrow!
I know what you mean about doing slimming world on a budget it's a nightmare as you need so much fresh veg but I must admit I'm getting better! I eat lots of veg anyway but need a bit more variety oh and ideas to stretch the budget
 
Is it possible to eat too much fruit and veg? I feel positively wet through!! Lol
 
Grrr I had porridge at half 7 n by 10am I'm already hungry! Wats wrong with me lol
 
hi everyone! hope your all doing ok! ive decided the extra easy one is too confusing so ive gone back to the green days!! i made the sw quiche and it was yummy i put mushroom in it and i had a small amount of bacon from my h extra and it was yummy!! im going to do a tomato one tonight as thats free on green!! Im hoping for a weight loss this week as i didnt get any yesterday but i feel alittle less bloated so fingers crossed! :)
 
hows everybody doing?

i struggled this evening, had a real urge for choc or cake, or pref choc cake ! lol

anyway, done the dishes etc and treated myself to a cappuccino and for a special treat had a sprinkle of choc powder, and it really hit the spot!

my OH bought me a cruchie (my treat of choice) and its still in the fridge, so yay me!

We've all gone a bit quiet on here! Was thinking of doing success express but think I'm gonna wait until next week now x
